Crab Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes

You will need:

1/2 pint cherry tomatoes
1 stalk green onion, diced
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
1 can crab meat

Cut the core out of the cherry tomatoes, scoop out the insides and set aside.

Drain crab meat and flake to break up. Add all the ingredients and mix. Add the mixture to a ziplock baggie or pastry bag and cut off one corner tip. Gently squeeze mixture into cherry tomatoes and place them in a shallow dish. Cover with foil and refrigerate until ready to serve.

You can double this recipe if you are making this for more than 2 people but I made it as an add on to our dinner and I used 1/2 a pint of cherry tomatoes each time.

  1. You must have the patience of a saint! I would probably mangle the tomatoes.

  2. That is sure an interesting mixture

  3. Sounds good. I have made many things stuffed with crab and now I am back in crab country!

  4. I don't like mayonnaise or crab, so I'm out. And, if that wasn't reason enough, I can't cook worth a damn. That being said, your post still made my stomach growl. It's breaky time!

  5. first I've heard of doing such a thing, though I never eat sea-food

  6. Happy Birthday and thanks for sharing such an awesome recipe. Love this and can't wait to try. Hugs...www.intheknowwithro.blogspot.com

  7. Bijoux_ I thought it would be more time consuming and problems than it was. But it was actually easy.

pat- Yeah hubby even liked it.

Sage- I love crab anything. lol

Carmel- Well yeah that wouldn't be a good dish for you then. lol

Adam- I know a few people that don't care for seafood.

RO- Thanks for the birthday wishes.

  8. Yum - a mouthful of summer. Crab isn't as common down this end of the world, but a can of salmon would work too.

  9. Shelley- Yep, salmon would definitely do.

  10. Sounds yummy...although I agree, not sure I would have the patience to scoop out and stuff cherry tomatoes, lol. Thanks for sharing!

  11. This sounds so good and you are so awesome to get these to look good displayed.

  12. ELF- It only took about 15 minutes to make the ones shown. I took a butter knife to scoop out the insides and it made it really easy.

Sophia- Thank you. They really weren't hard to make.
