First thing I want to mention is that my bowls came with stickers attached to the inside bottom of both bowls and even after scrubbing them, there's still a sticky residue that will not come off. I really don't like that at all. I'm hoping that over time if will fade away but it's very unattractive right now. It makes no sense for the company to send out dog bowls knowing that water and food are going to be put into them and knowing that not all of the sticker residue comes off easily.

These bowls are bigger than the small bowls that we got when we were given our dog last year. They are a good size and the rubber seal on the bottom of them do help them not slip around the floor. Falcor, my dog doesn't usually like to stick his face down inside a bowl to eat his food I think because he doesn't like getting his chin hairs and whiskers dirty with dog food. But these bowls are bigger than the bowls I had been using and now he eats out of a bowl instead of a plate but he's still a messy eater.

At least the bowls stay where you put them. I get annoyed if he scoots the plate or bowls all over the kitchen floor and I accidentally kick the water bowl with my foot and water goes flying everywhere. That didn't happen when I used these bowls.

  1. That sticker glue drives me crazy on picture frames. So dumb that they don't just put the sticker on the bottom or the back of the product.

  3. This is a really good idea, because it seems like those bowls are always being pushed around by our furry friends. That residue thing is the pits. Did you try some Goo be Gone or Dawn Dishwashing Liquid? Don't know if that may help? Hugs..and thanks for the review.

  5. That's a shame the sticker residue didn;'t come off. i always hate it when that happens with any products, I want the stickers to be easily removeable. That rubber band to prevent moving them around sounds very helpful.
My sister's cat moved her bowl around and she eventually got a plastic plate with places for one food and one water bowl, which was very handy.

    1. I had smaller bowls but he didn't like them. I used a plate that he couldn't move around but I still tripped over it.

  7. Stickers attached to the inside bottom.... Idiots.

Try using steam or vinigar, Mary.

  8. I like the stainless steel and rubber idea for the bowls. We ended up getting a raised stand with matching bowls for our cat so its easier for him to eat and not push the bowl around. Bummer about that sticker. Goo-gone is great on stickers, but I'm not sure you want to use it on a food dish.
