My Review

I received a sample of this product courtesy of Swaggable. This is the first time that I've tried this product and it really wasn't to my liking.

I love sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts but I like them to be roasted and salted when I eat them. These re just shelled raw hemp hearts with nothing extra and really no flavor. They did taste a little like sunflower seeds if the sunflower seeds were softer, smaller and sweeter. I've tried pine nuts and they don't taste like pine nuts but they really didn't have much of a taste at all. I ate them straight from the package and I guess if I had used them in a muffin or roasted them and used them in a recipe they might have been better but they weren't good enough for me to bother.

  1. They sound healthier than chi seeds, but I'm with you, I need a little salt even when it's supposed to be healthy for you. (lol) Hugs...RO

  2. Doesn't sound like something I would like either. I have never heard of them before. Oh well. Better luck on your next try.

  4. I've added flax to hot cereal and yogurt and I can see where this would be something of the same. I can imagine the blandness.
