Ken came home with something I've never seen before. It's a mozzarella cheese stick wrapped in prosciutto.
Frankly, it looks less than appetizing to me. I've had mozzarella cheese sticks but usually there's nothing wrapped around it. Also, I've never had prosciutto. I know, I know. *gasp* but how could you not have, right? It just never came up.
Now is it me or does this look something like a severed finger? Or maybe some other body part? I'm not saying but I'm sure you can guess. *wink wink*
So I took a bite and started chewing...and chewing. Is prosciutto supposed to be cooked? Should I be eating what tastes like raw bacon? Should this crap be chewy and kinda gross? No wonder it's thinly sliced, if it hadn't been, it would be more like beef jerky, that how chewy this stuff is. Plus it really does taste like and have the consistency of raw bacon. *Don't ask me how I know that. I was a weird child.*
So my rating would be 1 out of 5 but only because the cheese was good.
Do you like prosciutto? Does it always taste like raw meat and have a chewy texture?
Yuck. I love cheese sticks and often have one at lunch, but not like that.

DeleteI have had that before and didn't care for it either. Prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe is actually good though.
