Favorite Picture of the Week

While I was walking the dog a little farther down the street I saw that there were more metal tree's and a metal bench in front of one of the metal tree's near the end of the street. I don't know why I find these metal tree's so darn funny.

    1. I take the dog for a walk in the morning along the bike path and there are a few of the metal tree's along it.

    1. It is. It would have been better just to plant a few tree's.

  5. Mary, I'm proud that you are getting out and about! The metal trees ARE bizarre, as it's obvious from the picture that it is possible to grow some trees and shrubs, or at least cactus!

  6. It is kind of sad that there are more metal trees than real ones LOL! We have areas like that around here but thankfully we have a lot of real trees as well.

  9. I have the same reaction when I saw the painted cow artwork in a city just west of us a few years back. I thought it was cool on a certain level, but my first reaction was to snicker.

  11. I saw some metal flax bushes and flower spikes in one of our local parks today. I wanted to jump off the bus and take photos. Maybe another day. I guess your local council feels they need to beautify the place.

    1. Yeah, they put them in as part of the beautification project.

  13. This is baffling. Why would someone put fake trees?

    1. Because we live in the desert and they put them in as part of the beautification project.
