Review: DegustaBox- September

DegustaBox is a monthly subscription box filled with food and drink products. The price for the box is $19.99 a month.

You do not get to pick any of the products you get, it's a surprise each month. But they say each box contains 10-15 items and each box is worth at least $30. I like trying boxes like this because they usually contain products that I've never tried or haven't seen before.

What was in the box?

King Arthur flour lemon bar mix.
Reese quinoa on the go fruit cups.
Natural sins coconut chips.
SunRype fruit on the go.
Lee Kum Kee Korean BBQ stir fry sauce.
Wild Planet albacore tuna.
Post Shredded Wheat frosted mixed berry.
Angelic Bakehouse Bread Crisps.
Mutti tomato sauce.
Goya rice pilaf.

We started opening up packages as soon as we got the box and within a couple of days I made the lemon bars which were really good.

Ken likes to eat cereal every once in a while and he likes the mixed berries and strawberries type of flavor, so he likes this one and I tasted it myself and thought that it was very good. I don't usually like the berry flavor cereals but this one is pretty good.

The bread crisps were good because they're kind of like crostinis and you can put stuff on them and if you like crispy bread or breadsticks then you'll probably like these.

I wasn't sure about the barbecue stir fry sauce but it ended up being really good in the stir-fry that I made for dinner one night. But the coconut chips it might have been one of my favorite things, I love coconut and these were nice and crispy and had a great coconut taste to them. I'm pretty happy with this months box. It had products that both Ken and I liked.

If you don't live in the US, they now have a Great Britain Website. Now here's a treat for you. If this box looks like something you'd like, you can use code MARYK-ACB and get your first box half off. That's a big box of food for only $10! and you can cancel anytime. So if you're interested, go to the DegustaBox site and sign up and don't forget to use my code to get your first box for just $10.

Does this look like something you'd get?

  2. Degusta is a strange name to me, my mind almost wants to read it as Disgusta, which isn't a good word when it comes to food

    1. I looked it up and Degusta in Spanish means Taste. And it's a food box so that makes sense.

  4. Does King Arthur come with Excalibur? I'm with Adam on the name too, always thought it was weird to use for food.

    1. Glad to hear it. My suggestion with those lemon bars is to make the crust really thin otherwise it's really hard to cut through.
