Review: BirchBox- October

I decided to sign up for a Birchbox subscription box. It's only $10 a month and this month's box came with 5 products. This will be my last Birch Box though because I'm just not liking the products. I'm either giving them away to my daughter or it sits in my cabinet because it's not something I'd use. But my daughter likes the boxes so she's gonna start getting them.

This month I received:

Avene Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum
Embryolisse 24 hour miracle cream
Eyeko black liquid eyeliner
Lipstick Queen Lip Liner
QUAI Rose hair and body oil

The two samples or the face serum and cream I already used because the sample bottles were very small and there really wasn't enough in them to see if either of the products did anything for my face.

I'll use the eyeliner but the lip liner is not my color and the rose body oil smells good but I don't like putting oil on my skin because I feel like I need another shower. I wasn't really pleased with this box and it was the last straw for me, so this is my last box from them. Hey, at least this box didn't contain yet another dry shampoo. lol

  1. I love watching the Birch Box unboxing videos on YouTube. Always fun to see the girls' reactions to what they have in the boxes. Birch Box seems to be quite hit or miss.

  3. I finally did an Ipsy bag and have had so much fun with it. I thought about this one but most of the brands I saw were ones I wasn't that familiar with so I shied away from it. I might have to try it though, it looks fun. It is a crap shoot though when you get colors you don't like or don't even go with your complexion.

  5. Haven't tried subscribing into one really, but in the future if I decided, I'll go for food subscription box or maybe Japanese treats hehe

I don't put makeup excluding lipstick so I guess I'll take the lipliner, hehe ;)

    1. I did a japanese treats box a few years ago and gave it to my daughter and son in law as an add on gift for Christmas since they love that kind of stuff.

  7. When they first started doing this years ago, the products were more varied, and there seemed to be a lot more. I would have loved the liner though. Hugs...RO

  9. I've always wondered about the liquid eyeliner. I feel as though I'd make a mess of it with unsteady hands.

  11. Can't say that I blame you. It can be the coolest thing in the world, but if you don't use it why get it. :)

  14. I’ m also a member of Birch Box but since i don’t wear makeup and my hair is a bit complicated I end up giving away most my goodies, which makes me a very popular girl amongst my friends. I’m super excited about the Avene Hydrance Serum and the 24 hour miracle cream, and the QUAI Rose hair and body oil.

  15. Oh sorry you didn’t like the products. I have sensitive skin. It’s tricky to try other products. 😁

  16. I got the IPSY bag for a while, but there just wasn't enough of a wow factor (or any, really,) that made me want to keep getting it. I just loved getting fun mail. LOL I finally let it go.

    1. I'm the same way. I love getting the mail but the products are great enough to keep me paying for it.

  17. I imagine these boxes are probably for people who are really into beauty products, like beauty bloggers and such. If the products are just sitting around, best to cancel and maybe find a different subscription box you'll actually use.
