Recipe: Chocolate Mug Cake

Have you seen those recipes for mug cakes that bake in the microwave? I tried a few different recipes and so many of them were so dry after I took them out. I just didn't like most of them. I see now that there are mixes that you can buy in the store that you just have to add water or something, mix and microwave. But if you already have all the ingredients at home and want a piece of cake, here's the best recipe I've found for chocolate mug cake.

I probably should have looked on The Food Network website for a recipe the first time because they have some really good recipes. I made this for Ken the other day and he loved it.

Have you tried making a mug cake before?

  8. I tried a few mug cakes and it's hard to find a good recipe indeed. I think I ended up with one that was pretty good for a cinnamon mug cake. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  10. I make cake all the time. Well, really just more than I should. My husband and daughter have to eat gluten free so I haven't tried to do something like this. I usually make large amounts and freeze some for later. I would probably do this if we didn't have food allergies.

  12. I do these all the time for a midnight snack! Through trial and error, I never microwave them for the recommended amount of time. Always less! Then they are warm, gooey and also a little fluffy. Mmm.

  18. I've done a few of them. Some eh. Some good. The ones with angel food cake mix added in seem to work best for me.
