Apartment Life #210
This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.
Three police cars pulled up at the end of my apartment building and they talked for a minute and were looking in the back of their cars and then stood around for a while.
We all thought that they were staging for something or were waiting for backup but then they all suddenly got back in their cars and left.

Life Update:
Ken was told by his Oncologist that what he has is metastatic stage 4 adenocarcinoma non small cell. So at least we know what we're working with. His doctor admitted him into the hospital on the 9th to start his first round of chemo and he's still there today. He should get to come home soon after a few more tests.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

Police cars again, huh? 😏 Not surprising, at all! 🤷♂️ It's great to know what the situation is and easier to deal with it so, glad to hear you know what's happening with Ken.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm glad too.
DeleteMaybe it was the police version of a ZOOM meeting? haha, I crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you know what's going on now. When you have a diagnosis you can make a treatment plan.
Oh that's funny. Yeah there is a treatment plan now.
DeleteI know you're glad to have the info finally, and I continue to pray that all goes well. Please continue to hang in there. We're all sending hugs your way. RO
ReplyDeleteThank you, I am trying.
DeleteCracking up at the Zoom meeting comment.
ReplyDeleteI hope the chemo goes well. Thinking of you and your family.
Thank you.
DeleteOh Mary, you are dealing with so much right now. Praying for you and Ken,
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteKnowledge is power - in Ken's case the power to plan and fight the illness, the power to organize life in a suitable way, to get the neccessary money .
ReplyDeleteMay God help Ken and the family overcome this nightmare!
Thank you.
DeleteHope Ken is taking some natural remedies that ease chemo symptoms. Like amigdaline, aloe vera honey, Russian chaga, shitake and other Japanese shrooms etc.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that but I will look into it.
DeletePray the chemo works.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that it does.
DeleteGlad the police left and their was no drama. Praying for Ken.
ReplyDeleteI am too.
DeleteMaybe the police were just doing a drill. Hugs to you and Ken from all of us, we're thinking of you both.
ReplyDeleteCould be.
DeleteSounds like life at the apartment was relatively calm this week.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you finally found out the diagnosis and have a plan to treat the cancer. I hope all goes well with good outcomes. I'm sorry you're having to go through that.
Thank you. So far the chemo is going well.
DeleteKeeping my fingers crossed for Ken!☺
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHope Ken is doing okay with the chemo. You are both in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that.
DeleteHugs
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteSending best wishes and prayers for Ken as he starts chemo. Hang in there!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteBest wishes to Ken on his treatment. Hope and prayers for you both.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that.
DeleteGlad to see that there was nothing happening with the boys in blue.
ReplyDeletePraying for Ken through this battle.
Thank you.
DeleteI hope the first round of chemo isn't too hard on Ken and he is comfortable when he gets home. (No nausea etc.)
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing throughout it all?
I'm doing alright. It's a bit stressful. Ken had the chemo and seems to be doing alright.
DeleteNever a dull moment. I have been thinking positive thoughts for you and Ken.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate that.
DeletePolice seem to always be there, but maybe that can give you a bit of comfort at least?
ReplyDeleteI continue to send positive thoughts of healing to Ken. I know it is going to be a tough road ahead, but know all your book blogging friends are rooting for the both of you!
I know they are and I appreciate it so much.
DeleteI will keep you and Ken in my thoughts <3 hoping for the best to come through this.
ReplyDeleteMy street is nearly not as exciting. We do have a part across a street and we live on a side street with stop signs on both ends and people who use it as a short cut and go like 70 mph to race to the next stop sign i guess
Stuff like that happens on my street too.
DeleteThoughts are with you and ken
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI'm really sorry to hear about Ken. I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteLindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? 💬
Thank you.
DeleteMetastatic stage 4 sounds nasty. Good luck with the chemo.
ReplyDeleteit's definitely not a good diagnosis.
DeleteIt's a sort of know your enemy type thing isn't it. Now that you know the type, Ken can get the best targeted treatment for it which is better than a vague broad spectrum treatment. I'm thinking about all of you x
ReplyDeleteThat's very true.
DeleteMy thoughts are with you guys while Ken goes through Chemo. I hope he is back at home soon.
ReplyDeleteHe spent 4 days in the hospital and is now home and doing well.
DeleteThat's tough stuff. I'm glad to read that the first round of chemo wasn't too hard on him.
