Apartment Life #218
This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.
This week an ambulance and fire truck showed up at the same time for someone across the street.
They got all gowned up and went inside one of the apartments across the street. They were there for about 30 minutes and then they left. It was pretty uneventful and no one was taken out in a stretcher so I am guessing it was no big deal.
There's a guy that moved in with his mother across from my apartment and he's started selling a lot of marijuana. I know this because he's telling everyone he runs into that he's selling and to come to him if they need any. He asked Ken if he knew where he could get some white (cocaine) and Ken told him he didn't know. So now there's another drug dealer in my courtyard. Just great.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

ReplyDeleteI mean...he's not even pretending? How come everyone in your courtyard commits felonies and no one does a thing (apart from sending patrol police cars now and then, that is)?
Oh it's not just my courtyard, it's practically the entire block. If I called the police to turn him in, I would have to write out a voluntary statement and testify in court against him. With him having so many druggie friends around here now...I wouldn't be safe if I did that. That's the only way the cops will help.
DeleteSigh. I hope his lack of concealment means that he doesn't stay in business for long and is shut down by the authorities.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteYou guys still don't have legal marijuana dispensaries? Up here they're all over the place. So we never have sleazy guys selling the stuff out of apartments.
ReplyDeleteOh we do. But people grow their own and still sell it to make a prefit.
DeleteWhat Roberta said. The police cars come and go but there don't seem to be many arrests. Why are the police so lax?

DeleteEverytime so interesting to read!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteIt doesn't look as if the police can be trusted to maintain law and order. Sad reality!

DeleteTime to introduce that guy to a police officer.

DeleteNever a dull moment there.
ReplyDeleteNo, there isn't.
DeleteWow, no under cover b.s.. it's ffunny what people tell ya.
ReplyDeleteI know! People will say a lot.
DeleteIt's crazy how people will just blab that to everyone. At least you know where to get some should you decided to take up the habit lol!!
ReplyDeleteI know! lol We actually have legal dispensaries here. That's where Ken gets his. lol
DeleteOh my goodness! Perhaps he doesn't realize that the marketing he is doing might come with a cost.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm sure he knows and just doesn't care.
DeleteJust what you need, more druggies.
ReplyDeleteI know. They are everywhere.
DeleteGood grief! Another winner in the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteOh I know.
DeleteCan't believe another drug dealer just moved into your complex. Just what you needed!
ReplyDeleteOh I am surprised it took this long.
DeleteWow. Maybe the drug guy will market himself right back out of the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI can only hope.
DeleteI wonder how long before his mother kicks him out?
ReplyDeleteI wonder that too.
DeleteThat really sucks, more than sucks
ReplyDeleteYah it does.
DeleteWow, the pot seller sounds like he's waiting to be arrested. Or do they let you do that now in Nevada without any hassle?
ReplyDeletewww.thepulpitandthepen.com
Oh no, he would be arrested if they catch him.
DeleteWow, that sucks. I read your comment about turning him in and I can understand why you wouldn't want to do that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so much hassle.
DeleteOh that sucks about the drug dealer. I'm sorry you guys have to go through all that BS...
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThere once was this guy who either was stupid or had more nerve that one could shake a stick up. Would go into public places and announce he had cocaine for sale.
ReplyDeleteThat doesn't even surprise me anymore.
DeleteStay safe. We lucked out and the undesirables
ReplyDeletewho have been living next door for a couple of years moved out and the new people are quiet. I wish the yahoos kitty-corner across the street would move, too. Ha ha. 😛
It's a lot quieter around here than it was a couple of years ago.
DeleteThe law is an ass, as they say. I fully get why it wouldn't be safe to grass this guy up and in your position I'd do the same. It does make you wonder why we pay our taxes though when cops don't do much to help!
ReplyDeleteYeah I just don't get it. They are beyond worthless.
DeleteUgh to all the drug dealing going on around there!
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteIt is not a good sign when the criminals feel secure enough to advertise. Geez.
ReplyDeleteI know. I just hope that it stays safe.
DeleteMy first thought whenever no one gets taken away on a stretcher after a paramedic visit is that the person didn't want the hefty ambulance bill. I know I wouldn't! I am glad the fire department was able to resolve whatever the situation was.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Drug dealers. I'm sorry you have to deal with another one so close.
I hope you are having a good week, Mary!
As good as we can.
DeleteWhat the heck?! That's brazen behaviour! Perfect demonstration of the state of the world. :(
ReplyDeleteHope both you and Ken are ok.
We're doing pretty good.
DeleteOh no, he doesn't sound like a very good drug dealer, haha. Not exactly discreet!
ReplyDeleteHe's such a dumbass. lol
