Apartment Life #282

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.

On Sunday night the police helicopter was flying over my apartment building again and the police were once again at the end of my street. It only lasted about an hour and I didn't see the police arrest anyone.

----

Monday morning at 1 am I was woken up by these two screaming at each other right across the street from my bedroom window. They are in that building's laundry room. If you've been reading my blog for a while you might remember Mikey and Jessica from other posts. I made it 6 videos because they stopped arguing and so I stopped recording plus longer videos take hours to upload to Youtube for some reason. Turn the volume up.

As you can tell Jessica gives as good as she gets. She calls him names and he leaves and then comes back for more. Remember that this was happening at 1:30 am. These two don't live here, they are homeless and stay with some of the drug dealers in the area until they get kicked out and stay in the laundry room. They are both on drugs and stay up all night. Turn the volume up.

This video just shows both of them in the laundry room screaming at each other. If you have the volume turned up you can hear them.

She was trying to leave the laundry room and he was standing in front of her preventing her from leaving. They yelled at each other and then she started beating him about his head. Near the end of the video he leaves, she calls him a " Fat F*ck" and then tells him, He's gonna die. But after he walks away...she realizes she's locked in the laundry room and can't get out. There's a metal security door on there and he usually uses a screw driver to get out but he left and took it with him. It got and she spent about 30 minutes kicking the metal door, screaming for help, and trying to get the door open to no avail.

In this blurry video I watched her trying to get the metal security door open. She even had a couple of people helping her. She kicked the door, someone handed her something and she used it to try and pry the door open. But it wouldn't open.

Here is the last part of my 6 part series of videos. She was kicking the door, banging on the door and had people helping her trying to get it open. Someone must have gotten tired of the noise at 2:30am and called the police because the police showed up. They had someone with a key come and open the door and they put her in handcuffs and led her around to the other side of the building so I didn't see what happened after that. But I did see her again the next day so either she got out fast or was never arrested.

I'm sorry about all the videos but the ordeal went on for almost 2 hours and I didn't want a 2 hour video. lol

----

Last Sunday night...

Three tweakers walk away from drug dealer's apartment. The woman is crying, the two guys are arguing with her as they walk by my apartment door. They stop at the end of my walkway, being loud and then walk back down to drug dealer's apartment.

As they walk by my door, I'm standing at my door because they are making a lot of noise. The girl is still crying and then the Mexican guy walks by next. He looks at me as he's walking by all crazy eyes and says, "F*ck you." to me. Then the white guys walks by and says, "I'm so sorry about that."
They have now walked by my neighbors door twice who put the chairs and tables in front of her door a couple of weeks ago to make it harder for the tweakers to walk by.

They stand down by drug dealer's apartment arguing and being loud so my neighbor comes out and starts yelling at them to leave or she's calling the cops. And then my brother calls me so I answer the phone while I stand at the door listening to the argument going on. She yells at them again to leave and then says to the white guy, "You don't catch your mail here, so you need to leave.
He says, "I damn sure do." Her reply is, "The hell you do."

And then drug dealer comes out to lend his voice to the argument. I step outside while on the phone with my brother and yell down to my neighbor if she is ok. Drug dealer can see I have my phone with me but he has no idea I'm on the phone with my brother and not calling the cops. He goes back inside and the tweakers leave.

  2. Hi, Mary!

I see that the overnight low temp in Vegas reached the freezing mark, dear friend. It seems likely there will be more of these loud early morning arguments as homeless drug addicts gather in places like the laundromat to escape the cold. Perhaps Jessica considered it a good outcome to be carted off a nice warm jail for the rest of the night. I am very sorry that you endure so many nights listening to fights outside your door, dealing with desperate, disrespectful people and hearing police helicopters buzzing overhead.

Have a safe week, dear friend Mary. I hope the good outweighs the bad.

    1. Probably. There are so many homeless and drug addicts hanging around right now that I'm sure some more fights will be breaking out.

  3. That's a dark reality. The thing is violence and chaos is on the rise everywhere. It's getting to everyone.

  4. Good grief, two hours of slanging matches and screaming in the middle of the night would do my head in. I'm impressed that you manage to deal with it without going crazy.

  5. What Nick above said. Also, how come they always manage to pry the laundry door open? It needs a good lock and chain...

    1. Someone, I'm guessing them...cut a hole in the security door so when they are in the laundry room they can stick a hand out the hole and use a screw diver to open the door. Maybe the owner will change the door.

  6. How nice that the white gun had polite manners with you! Hahaha! What a couple of scenes you witnessed. It’s like the Cops show on steroids!

  9. Wow the anger in the heat of the moment though! I've seen some arguments in my building but I hate when I see men belittling women-makes me sad.

  10. Holy Heck! Way too much drama. And Jessica was probably released and back on the streets before you had time to post.

    1. Oh Dezmond, that's already happened! LOL
Back in 2018 there was a meth lab that the police and swat busted. The swat tank showed up, there was a really loud flash bang that brought everyone outside. lol

I even got pictures of the tank.

  16. I wonder what's goin on with those helicopters/ police at the end of the street. Must be looking for someone?

I'm sorry but that woman screaming "biiiitch" first video cracked me up. I know it's not funny but... and I was starting to get worried in video 4. Then she got locked in!

Sorry you have to go through all that Mary. Be safe!
