Apartment Life #363

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 25 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.

That dark car in front of the white unmarked police car has been sitting there for a few days. It belongs to a couple in my building. They got a ticket that was left under the wiper blades a few days ago but didn't get it and it was still there when this officer pulled up to check out the car again.

This time the cop put an orange sticker on the drivers side window to either move the car in 24 hours or it was going to be towed. About an hour after this the couple from my building came out and saw the ticket and orange sticker. I watched the male take the license plates off the car and then move it into the alley of my apartment complex. I wonder why he took the plates off the car...

Other than that, it was a quiet week.

The high this week was 90F/32C
The low this week was 49F/9C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. Hi, Mary!

It's good to know you are celebrating the completion of another peaceful, almost uneventful week in your neighborhood, dear friend. It was indeed a bizarre scenario when the neighbor man removed the license plates from his car and moved it into the alley. If the car is left in the alley, am I to understand that it won't obstruct the alley and therefore the cops won't bother with it?

I wish you a safe and happy week ahead, dear friend Mary!

    1. Yeah as long as he puts the license plate back on and the tags are up to date.

  3. That's so strange. Maybe he thought removing the license plates would help keep the car from getting towed if the officer was identifying it via the plates?

  4. Well, that’s strange. Is the car stolen, do you think?

  6. Cliffhanger! We can only speculate as to why plates were removed, but as long as there's not a body in the trunk it's all good.

  9. I wonder too. I would think the cops had already run the plates to get the ticket info. Now, I'm really curious.????? My mystery mind is working.

  10. Quiet weeks are most welcomed but the heat would make me concerned. 90F is very hot. Stay cool and hope you have another quiet week.

  11. That is weird that he took the plates off his car...maybe so the cops wouldn't know who the car belonged to?? Strange. Enjoy your week!

  12. Yikes on the high temps. Weird on moving the car. The ticket will still go to them, since the cops have the plates, I would think. Moving it to the alley until someone complains? I dunno. Weird.

  13. Hopefully, the ''quiet' goes on. You've had enough 'stormy' weeks.

  16. Maybe to avoid further tickets?

    1. You get a ticket for not having plates on your car so that wouldn't work.

  17. People are strange! It must be some weird reason because the license plate has the VIN number associated with it.

  18. Mystery as to why they took off the plates. Glad to hear you had a quieter week!

  19. Yes, maybe they removed the licence plates to prevent it being identified as theirs?

  20. That's not shady at all...but at least no guns were fired, and the situation didn't require the use of a taser on your part...so I'd call it a very quiet week LOL.
