Atreyu - Watch Me Burn

I've liked Atreyu for a long time and I really liked this song when I heard it. I hope you enjoy.

  2. Hi, Mary!

From "The OC" (Yorba Linda, Ca.) comes Atreyu, a metal band originally named Retribution. The name change was inspired by the character from the fantasy book and film adaptation The Neverending Story. I like their sound. Released as a single from their April 2023 EP The Hope Of A Spark, "Watch Me Burn" made a run at the top 20 on the Mainstream Rock chart. It was a wise move to include the disclaimer "Kids, don't try this at home" at the beginning of the video, because I can imagine many young rock star wannabes staging jackass stunts and suffering severe injury imitating what they saw on the screen. The sequence in which the lead zinger is set afire looks real, but the strategically placed edits are a telltale sign that a a stunt double was used for the dangerous portion of the stunt.

Thanks for the introduction, dear friend Mary. Have a super Saturday and I'll see you tomorrow for your neighborhood update!
