Apartment Life #301
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
My daughter was outside walking over to the store when the police who were out front called her over.
They wanted to know if anyone was ever in the office or when it was open. She told them no one is ever in the office. You have to call the number on the office window to get a hold of a manager. They were here for someone in the office courtyard.
The high this week was 51F/10C
The low this week was 30F/-1C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

I wonder whether the police will be able to convince them that the office should be occupied at least some of the time.
ReplyDeleteI doubt it.
DeleteSeems like a calmer week
ReplyDeleteYeah it did seem like it.
DeleteWhy do they bother having an office then?
ReplyDeleteBecause if they want to do an open house or they need to talk to a new resident or show an apartment, they come here.
DeleteI bet the cops were irritated about that.
ReplyDeleteThey always are.
DeleteGlad you got a calmer week. I've been watching these videos on suspects being smarter than the detective when it comes in the questioning room and it's quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteIve seen some of those kinds of videos too and yeah it is
DeleteWhy have an office if you're never in it. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea.
DeleteNow they know
ReplyDeleteThey keep coming back to look for the managers.
DeleteApartment building that does have office. That isn't use. Seems strange.
ReplyDeleteIt is strange.
DeleteA quieter week for you. That's always nice.
ReplyDeleteYes it was nice.
DeleteI hope the police got whoever they were after!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteI know someone who works independently. No secretary, no employee. He told me he has to keep an office as the law demands that.
ReplyDeleteThey rarely use it. But most apartment complexes have people in their offices in case people are looking for an apartment. But here they have to do all that online.
DeletePleased you've had a calmer/quieter week.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Me too.
DeleteThat probably irritated the police but I think a lot of apartments are like that now. My daughters' place isn't very responsive either.
ReplyDeleteThis management company manages a bunch of the owners properties and they are all in one central office but it's not over here.
DeleteAn Office that is never Open is not really an Office per se, just an Illusion of having one.
ReplyDeleteYeah. They are hardly ever here.
DeleteAs people are saying, why have an office if it's hardly ever used?
ReplyDeleteWho knows.
DeleteSounds like a quiet week. Yea for that! How's Falcor doing? How are you?
ReplyDeleteFalcor is good. I'm doing pretty good too.
DeleteMaybe the police will give the manager a ticket for their absence LOL. I wonder why they were looking for the manager...
ReplyDeleteThat would be funny. If someone is having a problem with their neighbors the police will talk to the manager. If the police find homeless in a vacant apartment they won't kick them out unless they can talk to a manager to find out for sure they aren't supposed to be there. They talk to the manager for a lot of reasons.
DeleteWhy are the police just in shirts, aren't they cold?
ReplyDeleteThey do have long sleeve shorts on at least. I hardly ever see them wearing jackets here.
DeleteWhy have an office if they don't have anyone there? Must be frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThey usually answer emails if I have a problem.
DeleteGlad your week is calm. Enjoy your warmth, it's in the teens here with 20-30 mph winds and today, the winds will keep up and the temperature drops into the single digits.
ReplyDeleteToo cold for me.
DeleteIt would be nice if they staffed the office!
ReplyDeleteIt would be.
DeleteSomeone should be in the office for sure!
ReplyDeleteYeah they should.
DeleteMaybe they should call the number on the window. I am glad the week was a bit calmer in your neighborhood. I hope you have a good week, Mary.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSeems like a relatively drama free week. Sounds like lazy management if nobody is ever in the office.
ReplyDeleteYes on both points.
