Christmas Cookies
Ok so Christmas cookies. Do you have a favorite one?
I'm partial to gingerbread cookies but I like them all.
There aren't too many cookies I can say I don't like.
Do you leave milk and cookies out for Santa?
I decorated some cookies back when my daughter was little but I haven't done it in a while and they did NOT come out as nice as these. lol
Sugar cookies are good and the easiest to make.
So do you have a favorite cookie? Will you be baking any this month?

My father always said that Santa preferred beer to milk. So that is what he got. The reindeer got carrots.
ReplyDeletelmao I think my mom ate the cookies and milk. My dad wasn't really into playing santa.
DeleteWe call those first ones vanilitze in my country and we make them with apricot jam. I myself don't eat sugar anymore, two years now LOL
ReplyDeleteI cut my sugar consumption down a lot but for the holidays I indulge a little.
DeleteGreen Christmas trees! My mom made them best.
ReplyDeleteFamily recipes are the best.
DeleteA glass of sherry and a mince pie for Father Christmas and a carrot for the reindeer.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a mince pie in years.
DeleteDon't feel bad about those fancy cookies. My niece makes those, but she has some sort of machine that helps her!
ReplyDeleteOh that would be helpful.
DeleteI like ALL Christmas cookies too, unless they have coconut. A couple of days ago, I baked my whipped shortbread cookies for Christmas. Next week or so, I'll bake my fruitcake cookies. That's it for this year, just two kinds.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter wants to make cookies this year. Don't know what kind yet.
DeleteI love chocolate chip cookies and homemade sugar cookies. But my favorite are honey cookies; my grandma used to make them every Christmas & Easter. She'd ice and decorate tham and they were so yummy. :D
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've had honey cookies.
DeleteMy daughter makes my Aunt Ilse's linzer tarte cookies every year. I love them dearly, though all my aunt's cookies were great.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good.
DeleteI love them all and gingerbread is definitely a fave. Also, my magic cookie bars, which my family would be disappointed if I didn’t make.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good. I love gingerbread cookies so much.
DeleteOh yummy to the Xmas cookies ~

All kinds of good cookies.
DeleteGingerbread is a favorite of mine this year.
ReplyDeleteOh yes.
DeleteI like ginger snaps!
ReplyDeleteThose are so good
DeleteHave childhood memories of making sugar cookies and decorating them. And swapping with neighbors. Haven't really done Christmas cookies in decades, though.
ReplyDeleteI helped my daughter make sugar cookies when she was little. It was fun to watch her make them with her son last year.
DeleteI always liked the tins of Christmas cookies. They have them and we usually get some.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those are good.
DeleteLovely post! I like shortbread but really love them all
ReplyDeleteOh yes, shortbread is good.
DeleteI love the "stainglass" window cookies that are basically chocolate and marshmellows. I had them a lot when I was little, but no one makes them anymore. I also like the wreaths that are like rice-krispie treats but with corn flakes.
ReplyDeleteI know what your talking about. Those are good.
DeleteI like them all, I can't have them, but I like them. Growing up my Grandma made the best raisin filled cookies at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThose sound good.
DeleteAnything with chocolate!
ReplyDeleteYes, I concur.
DeleteIt's got to be mince pies ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Those are good.
DeleteI don't really have a favorite. I make three or four different kinds to gift my neighbors and the co-workers and I go to a cookie exchange now and then which can be fun.
ReplyDeleteI love a cookie exchange.
DeleteAs Jan has said, Mince pies.
ReplyDeleteBut I also like gingersnaps and some lemony bars/biscuits.
Yes, I would like those as well.
DeleteI've never met a cookie I didn't like :-)
ReplyDeleteHa! You sound like me.
DeleteOur tradition is porridge for Santa, but that Santa is not Xmas Santa. In a way yes, but he is more a mythical little being that took care for the animals and farm
ReplyDeleteI like that.
DeleteI haven't baked Christmas cookies in years. My favorites are the ones in your first picture (linzer tarts?) and also buckeyes. My late mother in law made fantastic rum balls. I miss them. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYes, those first ones are good.
