If we put up a tree it goes up the week before Christmas. It has been artificial for the last few years. No theme, but ornaments from both of our family Christmases - some of those ornaments are more than fifty years old.
ReplyDeleteThat's really nice to have old ornaments like that.
DeleteI've never had one, but I used to know a family who put a pair of giant googly eyes (like six inches in diameter) on theirs, so it seemed to be standing in the corner watching everybody.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious.
DeleteOur tree is up and it is loaded with an assortment of ornaments from over the years.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome.
DeleteOur tree is not up yet. It's artificial, though we sometimes have miniature small ones alongside. However I try to dress it, it never looks right!
ReplyDeleteMine is artificial as well.
DeleteSuch lovely trees. Since we have a real one I only want it in a few days before. I might be a bit allergic
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a real one but they are almost 80 dollars or more now a days.
DeleteI love looking at Christmas trees -- other people's Christmas trees. I haven't put one up myself for over 10 years now. I don't really have the room for one and it's too much work.
ReplyDeleteI put up a small 4 foot one that sits on my table.
DeleteWe haven't put our tree up yet, but we usually do it the first or second week of December. And we've done different themes over the years: an old-fashioned tree with popcorn strings and gingerbread cookie ornaments, a Hawaiian tree with leis and shells, a red and gold tree, etc. But lately we just put on our favorite ornaments that we've collected over the years because they bring back such fun memories.
ReplyDeleteThat's sounds nice.
DeleteMine is green artificial very old one
ReplyDeleteMine is a white artificial one.
DeleteWe used to have a real-put-it-in-the-ground-after-Christmas tree. But, after a few years, we had no more place to put trees! lol
ReplyDeletelol Decorate the ones outside.
DeleteI usually put the tree up after Thanksgiving. Not really a theme to it just all the ornaments and garland accumulated over the years. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I do too.
DeleteWe put ours up Thanksgiving weekend. We have two large ones. One has a gold/silver theme and the other is a 'kids tree' with a huge assortment of ornaments collected over 50 years. Both are green. We did a live tree until we moved into this house 12 years ago. That's when we decided we were too old to cut one down ourselves!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice.
DeleteWe have a multi colored artificial tree. My daughter did the ornaments this year so I got to sit back and relax :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds pretty.
DeleteThose indoor shots show some fancy homes. I wish I had a fireplace.
ReplyDeleteRight? Nice places.
DeleteWe have a Charlie Brown tree!
ReplyDeleteAww That sounds cute.
DeleteOurs went up last weekend. It's a green artificial tree, that just received a $200 upgrade in lights that don't flicker like regular LEDs (that wasn't my decision, but).
ReplyDeletelol I'm sure it's pretty.
DeleteThe roommate puts it up the day after Thanksgiving. This year I was out of town, so I just came home to it up.
ReplyDeleteWell that's nice.
DeleteOur tree is up but not decorated yet due to the four newbies and we're not sure how they will react. Ours is green with a choice of lights.
ReplyDeleteI hope they are ok with it.
DeleteOurs is artificial. When my son was young we used to go to a local tree farm and cut one. Not any more. Our current tree came with LED light and our ornaments are eclectic - no theme but a lot of memories. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThat sounds nice. Mine id artificial too.
DeleteWe put ours on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but the rest of the house was decorated the week before. I do each room, so I like to be able to enjoy it for a while.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome.
DeleteI haven't had a tree in two decades, and we don't decorate this early and it all depends on my mood.
ReplyDeleteMy tree went up right after Halloween. lol
DeleteWe have had an artificial tree for about 25 years now. The current one is has the lights already on it and sometimes we do white and sometimes color lights.
ReplyDeleteI bought a 4 foot potted blue spruce that I can replant in the spring in my back yard. I didn't feel like doing all the trimmings this year, so it's just the tree topped with a toy dinosaur in place of our normal star.
