Favorite Picture of the Week

*Click on pictures to make them bigger*

All of these pictures were taken at the same time, I just swung the camera around and snapped a picture in each direction because the clouds looked interesting. It was 2PM in the afternoon so it should have been a lot sunnier and brighter at this time.

But there were clouds in every direction, not that I'm complaining, it was nice. A little cold though. The temperature this day was 54F/12C

I would still rather have this than the really hot temps we get in the Summer time.

But as you can see there were big clouds in every direction. I liked how the sky looked this day.

  1. Looks pretty familiar to me since I live in the notoriously cloudiest part of the country. Enjoy the coolness while it lasts.

I hear you so much...and here we never get THAT high temps in my corner of the woods.

You get lots of clouds in winter but not always rain, do you?

    1. Yes we get a lot of clouds this time of year but our yearly rain totals are only 4 inches. So we get very little rain here.

  4. Hi, Mary!

You're right, dear friend. One would think by looking at them that those pictures captured the last rays of light at sunset, not a 2 pm sky. 54 degrees was bikini weather compared to what we are experiencing in my neck of the woods. At this moment, it is 8 degrees, and today's high will only go up to 20.

I'll be returning with a new post this Friday, Jan. 24, and invite you to join the fun at Shady's Place. I also intend to be here for you again this weekend for your weekly report on happenings in your neighborhood. Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Mary!

    1. Here in Las Vegas we only get a little snow maybe once every 8 years. You have to go in the mountains to see snow.
