Review: Target Beauty Box - July #TargetBeauty #TargetBeautyBox

Each month Target releases a new Target Beauty Box but supplies are limited and it's first come first serve until they run out. These boxes go fast so I try to grab one as soon as I see it being talked about on Twitter or fb. They are $7 a piece and usually well worth the price.

This is what was in the box...

Simple Sassy Sachet Moisturizing Face Wash.
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water
Nexxus Frizz Defy Anti Frizz Sheets
Crest Kid's Anticavity Protection Fluoride Toothpaste- Strawberry Rush Flavor
Head & Shoulders Smooth & Silky Shampoo
Head & Shoulders Smooth & Silky Conditioner
Acure Radically Rejuvinating Day Cream Facial Moisturizer SPF 30

I wasn't sure I would like the strawberry toothpaste but it has a good taste and I love Crest so a win for sure. The Head & Shoulders shampoo and conditioner work so nicely on my long hair. It smells great and it leaves my hair soft and silky. another win! I've used Acure moisturizer before and even though it's a little greasy so I wouldn't use it on my face under my makeup, it is good for my chest, neck and arms. I haven't used the frizz sheets yet.

Now on to the 2 Simple products. I've used this brand before and even though they both work really well for what they're made for, they have a strange scent especially the face wash. I wouldn't buy this product because of the unpleasant scent is has even though it works good. The scent reminds me of an old wet towel that's been bunched up on the floor for a couple of days that your lazy kid left there and forgot. It's not a strong scent but it's not a scent I want on my face. The Micellar water has a strange scent too, different from the face wash but still not pleasant.

So for the most part I was pleased with almost everything I got in this box.

Did you get this box?

  1. Micellar water is being heavily advertised here - but no-one mentions its less than desirable fragrance.

    1. It's jut this brands fragrance that I don't like. I've tried other brands and they were fine.

  2. Another good haul for $7! My kid would love strawberry toothpaste, he hates mint! Will need to keep my eyes peeled and see if it's available over here.

  3. I don't think I've seen fruit flavoured toothpastes since I was a kid. I had no idea they were still made!

  5. I would definitely count that as a win to have most of the products be ones you enjoyed.

  7. I'm always looking for chemical-free products, so when you mentioned 'Simple' my ears perked up. GLAD to know about the smell because I couldn't deal with that.

  11. The Head & Shoulders alone made this box worth it! I have to buy some every month for my fiancé and it's $6 just for one.
