Review: Birchbox Subscription Box- August
I signed up for a Birchbox subscription box. It's only $15 a month and this month's box came with 6 products.
In my box was....
IPKN Moist & Firm Beauty Balm SPF 45- Light.
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5 in 1 styling treatment.
ModelCo Lip Plumper.
Oribe Cote d'Azue Eau de Parfum.
Purlisse Coconut Oil+Orange Blossom Silky Body Butter.
Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream.
The first thing I want to say is the Lip Plumper did nothing. When I put it on I felt a slight tingle for a moment and then it was gone. It did nothing to plump my lips. That's why the cosmetic surgeons get the big bucks because these over the counter 'plumping' products do nothing. It is a nice lip gloss though, so not a total fail. lol
The perfume sample smells really good. It's nice to gets these little samples that let us try the expensive brands because I wouldn't be trying it otherwise.
The styling cream did leave my hair soft but it didn't add volume or do anything else but it does smell good. The body butter smells good. I love these because they always leave my skin soft and are great if you have dry skin.
The BB Cream is great under my foundation. It's too light for me to use on its own though. The recovery cream is an ok moisturizer but it's a little greasy.
This month's box was not too bad. I do like trying new to me products and this is a good way to do that.
Did you get this box?

Stuff that smells good is a win. Greasy not so much.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm not into the greasy stuff.
DeleteEchoing Pat Hatt. Greasy is never a win.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteMy sister in law has the Birchbox subscription and loves hers. This box looks pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that, it is a good box.
DeleteLip Plumper scares me... the tingling always freaks me out lol
ReplyDeleteIt's the first one I've tried. But it did nothing and I could barely feel the tingle. I watched a video of someone trying a lip plumper that she said hurt. Nope, not doing that one.
DeleteIt's nice when the goodies show up and are actually good!
ReplyDeleteIt really is.
DeleteI do love body butter that smells nice
ReplyDeleteme too.
DeleteI love those body butters that smell good.
ReplyDeleteI do too. This smells good.
DeleteYay for good stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt was good.
DeleteI enjoy when you share about the sample boxes you get so I know what's out there and how they work for you.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes, at least the plumper can be used as a lip gloss. The body butter is a great investment for a dry climate. :)
I love body butter and good moisturizer since we seem to really need it here.
DeleteI always like reading your reviews of these boxes, they seem like have a good value for the price you pay for them.
ReplyDeleteThat's good the plumper at least worked as a nice lip gloss so it wasn't a total fail. That Purlisse Coconut Oil+Orange Blossom Silky Body Butter sounds like it would have a nice smell. I have a bodylotion with coconut that I currently use. The coconut seems to be good for dry skin.
I have a couple of coconut lotions that are good.
DeleteNot bad at all. Very good goodies. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteNice box
ReplyDeletethanks.
DeleteTodo se basa en el olor y la suavidad, me encanta mucho !!
ReplyDeleteGracias.
DeleteThe coconut orange blossom sounds like an amazing combination of scents. What were your thoughts on it?
ReplyDeleteI thought it smelled really good and it works really nicely.
DeleteNice goodies!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI use to get the ipsy box each month but quit doing any monthly boxes for a few years now. I think I want to try the fabfitfun one next year though.
ReplyDeleteYeah that looks like a good box.
