Apartment Life #262

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 23 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 23 years here in a weekly blog post.

Since I had so many comments about the window locks last week I thought I would share something that makes window locks even safer.

This is the kind of window lock that I use. You twist the screw down and the end tightens down against the window frame preventing anyone from sliding the window open any more. In the Winter time I do keep the bedroom window open about 5 inches to get some cool air. Forgive my fingernails. I took my fake nails off and was letting my nails breathe.

Ken was a maintenance man and he drilled little holes into the metal window frame that the screw end fits into when you tighten it down. I removed the window lock so you can see the holes he drilled there. There's a couple of different holes so I can open the window 4-5 inches depending how much I want it open. This makes the window lock even safer since the window really won't be opening any more than where I put it by doing this even if they push it really hard.

And if someone smashes my window, I have an ax and now a taser. I know how to swing the hell out of this ax too. I lived in West Virginia for a year and we only had a wood stove for cooking and heating. I cut a lot of wood that year. This ax is made from one long piece of solid metal with a rubber coating over the handle. Yeah, it's rusty and old and hell but if I swing this at your head, you're gonna feel it. lol

But I've been here a long time and haven't ever had this kind of problem. Falcor will bark his head off if he hears something too, alerting me that something is going on. He's half Chihuahua so barking is in his blood.

----

Falcor woke me up at 4am on Monday because he had to go out. I open my door to go outside and Jessica is walking by and she stops right in front of me and is like, "Hey". So I said hi and she's just standing there in front of me. I'm thinking, "Bitch, you better move." And I just keep walking out as Falcor starts barking at her.

She backs up and I come out and walk past her and she plops her skinny ass in one of the chairs by my door. I'm staring at her that's when Mikey walks up and stands right in front of her. He starts yelling at her, "Come on, we need to go."

She says to me, "Can you call the cops for me, I think he's gonna hurt me."

Now if you've been reading my Sunday posts you know she has been doing this for years. She's the one that hits him and then asks people to call the cops so she can try and get him in trouble. I've seen her do it. He's just standing there and they start to argue.

Jessica: "You're not a man, Mikey. You're a little boy. You're not a man"

Mikey: "Come on, we gotta go"

They're getting loud so I walk the 10ft back to my door and stand in front of him.

Me: "Look, you're being too loud and my daughter is asleep. You need to get away from my door." I said to Mikey.

He doesn't look at me or acknowledge me at all.

Jessica: "Yeah, you need to leave." She says sarcastically to Mikey.

Before I can say anything else Jessica gets up and walks away down the courtyard yelling, "Mikey, you're not a man. You're not a man, Mikey!"

Walking by people's doors screaming. I'm sure she woke a few people up.

Good grief.

And I shared a video of two people having a little argument to FB. I made it public so anyone can see it. Blogger wouldn't let me upload it here because they said the file was too big even though it's a really short video. I don't know why. What made the video funny was her getting so mad she smashes her drink down on the sidewalk. You can find the video here

----

And, my daughter was waiting at the bus stop and was listening to music on her phone and this lady at the bus stop thought she was recording her so she started calling my daughter names so my daughter started recording her. Warning there's some bad language but the video is gold. My daughter shared it on FB. You can find it here
