Book Review: Ice: Dragon Clan by Skye Jones

Book Description

When a tough, ice-cool cage fighter meets her match in two hot as sin dragon shifters, the sparks fly.

Ice is a tough cage fighter who has spent her life closed off and mostly alone. As a child, she experienced moments where she burned others with a mere touch. These strange experiences terrified and confused her, but she knows if she keeps her emotions under control the burning doesn't happen. This iron self-control has made her a fearsome opponent in the ring.

When two sexy as sin strangers enter her life, telling her they can shed light on her mysterious 'gift', her world is turned upside down.

Nathan, leader of the Scottish Dragon clan, is shocked to find Ice, a dragon female, living in the human world. Not only is she unaware of her heritage, she is also a match made in heaven for Nate and his bonded male, Dom.

When Nathan calls him to the city to meet their mate, Dominic is immediately smitten. As Ice spends time with the two males, it becomes clear they all share a mutual desire but are too scared to act on their feelings.

Can their heady, lust-filled nights lead to a lasting commitment and happiness for all three?

Ice can be read as a stand alone. It is a MMF, shifter menage novel. HEA guaranteed.
**This book is a re-release of a book first released as part of the Flight of Dragons boxset with added scenes and chapters**

My Review

Ice is a female MMA fighter, but she has to be very careful about fighting and getting mad because she can burn people with her magic gifts that she isn't sure how she got. She was adopted when she was little and never knew she was a dragon shifter but is a latent, meaning she can't shift into a dragon form. So when Nathan spots her while she's fighting and then later 'smells' her and can tell just by her scent that she would be a match as a mate for he and Dom, he's not sure what to do.

Dom and Nathan end up finding her at a bar and asking her to come back to their place where they explain to her what they are and how she could be their mate. She feels excitement at finally figuring out why she has the power she has and wants to get to know her people more. So while Dom and Nathan are giving her space to get to know them better and letting her make up her own mind as to whether she wants to have a life with them, she gets to know her people and the culture better.

Dom and Nathan are bonded males and even though they now both want a relationship with each other, they haven't acted on it until they bring Ice into their lives. Things seem to be going really well until Ice is kidnapped and we find out who she really is. I liked most of this book and think this book sets up the series really well. I can't wait to read more.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Apartment Life #267

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.

On Wednesday my neighbor found her registration sticker for her car on another neighbors car. So she called the non emergency number and waited for the police. Several hours later the police showed up and talked with the thief. I don't know what they said but she wasn't arrested. The police were here for a couple of hours taking pictures and talking to both parties though. I found out that here the license plate number is printed on the bottom of the sticker so it was easy for her to tell it was hers. The police also found out that the license plate she had on her car was also stolen so they took the whole license plate and told the lady she could go to the DMV and get a replacement registration sticker from them.

One of the ladies who used to be friends with the thief, went to my daughter's work and was talking to her. Nikki told my daughter that the thief has been stealing registration stickers and license plates for years because she doesn't want to pay to have her car registered. I'm so surprised she wasn't arrested.

The high this week was 109F/42C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

Book Review: Stonewing Guardian by Zoe Chant

Book Description

He’s her second chance.
She’s his last hope.

After a devastating accident, archaeologist Thea shut herself away from the world. But now, there’s an incredibly hot guy in her office, with an offer that might just be enough to drag her back into the field. He’s either crazy… or an entire secret race of magical shapeshifters desperately needs her help.

Time is running out for gargoyle shifter Mace. His people are in grave danger, and their only hope is a lost Viking amulet… and the brave, smart, emotionally scarred woman who might just be his mate.

But if this is going to work, he’ll have to trust a human with his people’s greatest secret…

… and she’ll have to trust him with her heart.

My Review

Mace is looking for a magical amulet and hopes to find it before the magicians in the cloaks find it first. The magicians are after him and so he and everyone around him are in danger. Mace asks Thea to help him find this amulet and because she's an archaeologist, he thinks she's the perfect person to help him find what he's looking for.

Thea is working out of an office these days instead of doing field work because something bad happened to her and she can't go back to the dig sites yet. So when Mace asks her to help him find a magical amulet, she's not sure but she decides to help him.

Mace is a gargoyle shifter and he and his people are very secretive. But there's magical cloaked figures after him and his people. He knows some secrets about his people that these cloaked people want and they want to capture him to get them so they dart him with tranquilizers to try and capture him. But Thea and his friend Gio are thankfully there a couple of the times that the darts are able to get him and they take care of him. Mace can usually get away really fast because he can stone walk. Which means he can walk through stone, rock, pavement, concrete and he can get to other places really fast by doing this. While it wasn't explained really well what happens when he stone walks, I got the gist of it.

The magical cloaked figures come after him several times and puts Thea, Gio and others who are around him in danger. Thea doesn't want to stone walk with him after he did it with her without any warning because they were in danger and it set off a panic attack in her.

While they are searching one particular spot, one of the cloaked people find them and put them in danger once again. This guy also wants the amulet but for his own reasons and I understood why but he's still a bad guy. But the amulet finds its way to someone else that actually needs it and Mace is just fine with that as long as the cloaked magicians don't get their hands on it or him.

The secondary characters were great and we get to meet some other shifters that I would really like to get to know better. The ending was so sweet, I really loved that. I haven't read the first book but you can bet that I will be now.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Freebie Friday!

Welcome to another weekly Freebie Friday post, where I tell you what free samples and full sized products I received in the mail and how you can get them too. Someone asked me why I do a "Freebie Friday" each week, so I'll tell you.

A while back I listed all the free samples and wins that I had received that previous year and so many people didn't believe that I could have gotten so many free things. So I decided to prove it by taking a picture every week and sharing the sites that I found the links to the freebies at. So now you too can get great free samples coming to your mailbox each week.

You can find links to great samples at Hey It's Free and Freebie Shark.

This week I received:

Hidden Valley Ranch Buffalo Ranch chicken seasoning from Walmart Spark.
Yum Bees peppermint candies.

I really liked the Buffalo Ranch seasoning. I used it on some chicken drumsticks and made sauted zucchini and Suddenly salad noddle salad with it. The chicken came out really good with this seasoning on it. My daughter and grandson liked it too.

Book Review: Forged In Fire by Juliette Cross

Book Description

Genevieve Drake has never been the helpless kind of girl, has never needed to be rescued. That is, not until her twentieth birthday when some dude nearly chokes her to death in an alley and a hot stranger splits the guy in half, rips a monster from inside, and incinerates it into ash.

The hot guy? Jude Delacroix—Dominus Daemonum, Master of Demons. Now her guardian, whether she likes it or not.

But she’s seriously beginning to like it.

The dude choking her? One of many demons from the underworld trying to abduct or kill Genevieve. As the prime target of the demon prince, Danté, she has no problem accepting Jude’s protection.

Why Genevieve? She’s a Vessel, one born to serve the Light but can be corrupted and used as a weapon for darkness. She had no idea this world even existed. Now, she just wants to survive it.

My Review

Genevieve Drake just turned 20 years old and that's when her Vessel powers start and demons can see what she is and they start hunting her, wanting her Vessel for themselves. When a demon tries to kill her, it's Jude that comes to her rescue and kills the demon. From that point forward, her life is not her own.

Jude is the Master of Demons and when he rescues Genevieve from a demon, he takes it upon himself to train her, teach her and keep her safe from the demons who want her for themselves.

Genevieve doesn't truly understand what kind of danger she's in after she's attacked the first time. Jude didn't really explain things very well at first and so when someone comes up to her that looks like Jude, she doesn't resist him at first. But he bites her and she realizes that he wasn't Jude. Dante is a dark prince and wants Genevieve for himself. He comes after her a few times and the danger is serious.

This is the first book in the trilogy and it starts off pretty good but I found myself getting a little bored towards the end. I like Jude but wanted to know more about him and his past so I hope we get more information as the trilogy goes on. I did like how Genevieve has real world problems along with learning her new powers.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Makeup Haul and Review

A few weeks ago I was watching some makeup reviews on Youtube, because that's how I find new products that I might want to try and these products were talked about on a couple of different channels. So I thought I would get them, try them out and review them here. So here's my makeup haul and review.

What did I buy?

Loreal Infallable foundation.
Coty Airspun loose face powder.
Elf Camo Concealer.
Wet n Wild eyeliner.

I've never tried any of these products which made it even more fun to get them and see how I would like them. If you've been a reader for a while, you've probably seen my other makeup hauls and know how much I like trying new stuff.

The Loreal Infallable foundation is great. I got the right shade and it's an almost perfect match for my skin tone. What I really like though is how well it wears all day. I didn't have to touch up at all. And it smells good.

The Coty Airspun loose face powder is so great. It's got a little bit of a pink tone to it which I really liked. My face stayed set all day. I didn't need to add more powder, my face didn't get oily, and it worked so well with the foundation.

That Elf Camo concealer is really great. But you have to do one eye at a time because it starts drying down pretty fast. Plus a little goes a long way!

The Wet n Wild eyeliner goes on so smoothly. It didn't smudge throughout the day and I didn't have to reapply it at all, which was nice.

And in case you're wondering what these products looked like on me while using them, here ya go. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Have you used any of these products?

Book Review: Night's Illusion by Amanda Ashley

Book Description

Giovanni Lanzoni may just be the world's oldest male virgin. Or at least, the oldest male virgin vampire. Giovanni has clung to the vows he made a thousand years ago as a mortal priest--yet he is no longer either of those things. Others of his kind have settled down since claiming immortality, finding love, even raising children. Sensing his loneliness, Mara, Queen of the Vampires, eagerly sets out to find Giovanni the perfect mate. But only one woman, met by chance on a dark night, truly tempts him...

Cassie Douglas has never met a man she trusts as much as Giovanni. Yet the shocking truth he reveals makes her question their deep connection. There are other urgent obstacles too. Giovanni's sire, an ancient, dangerously powerful vampire, is awakening after centuries of slumber, with vengeance on his mind. And in the battle unfolding around them, everything is at risk--their lives, their loved ones, and a passionate eternity together...

My Review

Giovanni was a priest when he was human more than thirteen hundred years ago and he's kept most of his vows since he was turned into a vampire. But recently he's become lonely and started to wonder what's the point of living forever if he has no one to spend that time with.

Cassie was attacked and Giovanni came to her rescue. He finds her mesmerizing and he's attracted to her right away. She's a little wary of him at first but he keeps showing up after her shift is over to walk her home, which she thinks is so nice of him.

Cassie lives in a really run down place and Giovanni lives in a place that has several unused bedrooms so he offers to let her move into one of the rooms but she doesn't take him up on the offer right away. But she does eventually move in with him, they get closer while living in such close quarters.

Mara is the queen of vampires and the oldest living vampire that they know of. She and Giovanni are friends and so she tries to help him find a girlfriend before he runs into Cassie. Mara is so sweet but scary at the same time. When Alric, Giovanni's sire wakes from being asleep for two hundred years, he wants revenge on Mara for killing someone close to him and he starts going through her friends and family to try and find her.

I knew things were about to get dangerous for Cassie and Giovanni and I was right but I had no idea what was coming. I really liked that Mara and the family all circled around him and helped out when danger approached. Cassie and Giovanni were so good for each other, they made a great couple.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Happy Raturday!

Since some of you didn't like Flower last week, *Stares at Dezmond*  o.O lol I decided to give you a double dose of her this week to show you how adorable she was. LMAO

This is Ken with Flower. She loved to come out and dive bomb our shirts. I think she liked the body heat.

And Ken would let her crawl all over him, in and out of his shirt.

There she goes. lol She would drop down our backs, crawl out and up the front and dive bomb the shirt again. I still have holes in a couple of shirts in the back where she would stop and nibble a hole into them. She was decorating them for us. lol

For some reason she didn't like the soft bottom piece that went in this so she would try to push it out. Look at that cute face.

She loved hanging out in her cubes. I bought new ones every 4-6 weeks because she would chew holes all over them and destroy them. After a few washes, they would fall apart.

This is why we called her a little dinosaur. She loved this little pink stuffed dino. She never tried to chew holes in him. When she came out to play she would lay down with him or push him around.

Flower laying behind the dino.

One of my friends made her a sleep sack to hide in for her cage. She loved it. Look at that sweet face.

Yep, she's sitting in my shirt. She would sit like this and fall asleep sometimes.

One of my FB friends made a meme of her. Just look at that elegant pose.

And yes, she had red eyes. Which meant she had bad eye sight too. Sometimes she would sit and sway back and forth to she could see better. That's what rats with red eyes do. I loved her red eyes.

I made some meme's of her too. She was hairless except for the couple of little whiskers she had. Always made me laugh. That blue stone she's standing on is a way for her to get higher and have something to sit on but it's also made of material that's great for naturally filing down their fingernails as they climb on it. Which was great since she loved to get in our shirts and scratch our backs up.

Another meme I made of her. It's just whip cream I had given her with a tiny piece of pumpkin pie. She came back looking at me like this. Cracked me up.

I was always buying her soft cage furniture and she loved this.

Here she is giving you a tour of her cage. This is actually two cages that Ken wired together and cut a hole into the bottom one so she could crawl up the ramps to get to the higher levels.

I always shared a little of whatever we were having with the rats.

When I would go around cleaning the cages in the morning, she would stick her little paws out through the wires of the cage and try to grab the plastic bag. Gimme Gimme.

So there you go. She was full of energy, loved coming out to play, was very social and affectionate. I hope you enjoyed her pictures and learning more about her.

Apartment Life #266

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.

On Wednesday I saw several police cars drive past me and only got my camera out in time to catch this one. I think they were just patrolling but three cars went into the alley to the apartment complex that is right across the street from me and this one circled the block twice while I was out walking Falcor. I saw one police car in the alley behind my complex but he left before I could get a picture. He wasn't speeding but he was going faster than a car should be going in an alley. I've seen a lot of police driving down my street lately. Maybe that's why things have been so quiet around here. They don't even have to get out of the car. lol

Married guy hasn't been hanging around cordless drill woman, in fact I haven't seen her in a while. But he has been letting long haired guy who is homeless and a meth head, sleep by his door. Yep, married guy lives right across from me. On Wednesday *and several other days) I watched as long haired guy (pictured) got out his meth pipe and was hitting the pipe. This dude does not care who sees him hitting the meth pipe. Yeah, sometimes he will turn his head a little or try to cover the meth pipe with his hands so I don't see it but it's pretty obvious what he's doing. Soon after he hit the pipe this morning, he passed out in front of married guy's apartment while he was working on his bike. Married guy is also taking care of long haired guy's tiny, old chihuahua which I'm glad about because it's too hot out here for a dog to be out in this heat. Married guy brings food and water out to long haired guy all the time too. I think the only thing stopping this guy from moving in to married guy's apartment is married guy's wife most likely.

Long haired guy is a frequent visitor to drug dealers apartment even though drug dealer tried to kill long haired guy a couple of years ago. My daughter and I heard gunshots that night and then police showed up and arrested drug dealer for attempted murder of long haired guy. Long haired guy had a wound on his head like the bullet had grazed his head. I don't know if the charges were dropped or what but drug dealer got out of jail in about 3 weeks after that happened.
----

I get up Friday morning to take the dog out and there's two people sitting in our chairs in front of my apartment, arguing. She gets up to leave and he stands there trying to talk to me. Then she comes back and sits down again and I said, "Oh no, you both need to leave"

She gets up and talks really fast in Meth-English. I can't understand anything she says and she leaves.

Then he's standing there, high as hell trying to talk to me about, "He's trying to help her."
I said, "I don't care, you need to leave." So he walks off apologizing all the way down the walkway.

I look up and my neighbor across from me is peeking out his window. You might know him as *Married guy* from my blog.

The high this week was 106f/41C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

Book Review: Cowboy Wolf Trouble by Kait Ballenger

Book Description

A wolf shifter romance like you've never seen before—cowboys by day, wolf shifters by night, this clan of secret wolves lies just beyond the mountains. A world filled with intrigue and possibility is closer than you think.

For centuries, the shifters that roam Big Sky country have honored a pact to keep the peace. Even bad-boy rancher Wes Calhoun, former leader of a renegade pack, has given up his violent ways and sworn loyalty to the Grey Wolves. But his dark past keeps catching up with him...

Human rancher Naomi Evans only cares about saving the land that was her father's legacy. Until the day she finds an injured wolf on her ranch and discovers a whole new world—a supernatural world on the verge of war—and Naomi, her ranch, and the sexy cowboy wolf stealing her heart are right in the middle of it.

My Review

Naomi is on her ranch when she hears a trap snap shut, hopefully catching the animal that has been killing her animals.

Wes is a wolf shifter and after a fight with another wolf, he stumbles into a trap. The human is about to kill him to put him out of his misery so he has no choice but to shift back to human and try and stop her.

But wolf pack law dictates that humans cannot know about shifters and therefore he's supposed to kill her after exposing his secret to her but he can't. He already has one innocent life on his conscience, he can't live with another. But when she tells him about how she has been finding her animals bled dry, Wes knows that vampires are behind it. He has to get her back to his packmaster and let him know that their enemies are working with the vampires. Naomi doesn't want to go with him and makes the trip back home, interesting.

The more he gets to know her though the more he likes her. He just hopes that his packmaster will understand. The Wild Eight are their enemies and Wes used to be their packmaster until he left them and now they are gunning for him and plan on killing him He came to the Grey Wolves and Maverick, the packmaster let him join them but he's never felt a real part of the pack. Plus he doesn't do what he's told which sets Maverick off all the time.

Naomi and Wes start getting really close even though humans and shifters aren't allowed to mate but they definitely have feelings for each other. But then a misunderstanding sets the romance back to the beginning and has Wes mad at Naomi because he thinks she betrayed him just like another human woman did years before.

This book has a lot of action, sexual tension and romance. I really like how it ended and how this first book in the series set up the world building for the upcoming books. I have a feeling that we haven't seen the last of the vampires and I look forward to it.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: The Pegasus Marshal's Mate (U.S. Marshal Shifters Book) by Zoe Chant

Book Description

Her new beginning is off to a bad start…

Tiffani's first marriage was a disaster. And now her first day of her new life as a court reporter has involved a jackass judge, a bomb threat…and a sexy silver fox of a US Marshal. One who tempts Tiffani to give up her new determination to prove she doesn't need a man. But if she's going to show everyone she's more than just air-headed arm-candy, she can't just fall into those gorgeous, muscled arms…right?

Pegasus shifter Martin thought he'd never find his mate. After losing his wife, he gave up on love entirely. But one look at Tiffani and he knows he needs this smart, funny, gorgeous woman. All he wants is to give her the romance she deserves—and the protection she just might need.

Between the trial of the century, petty dictator bosses, and a senior citizen flash mob, Tiffani and Martin will have to steal time for their second chance at love. But who better than a pegasus shifter to sweep a woman off her feet?

My Review

Tiffani got married young and thought she would be happy but ended up being a trophy wife that her husband expected to just look good for him. After getting out of that marriage, she's not looking for another relationship, she just wants to be herself and hopefully be happy. Getting a job as a court reporter should have been great except the judge on this case is awful, kinda a bully actually and doesn't seem to want her in his courtroom. But she follows through and things are going good for her.

Martin is a US Marshal and a Pegasus shifter. When he meets Tiffani he knows he's found his mate, now he just has to talk Tiffani into giving him a chance after her disastrous marriage.

After a bomb threat, Martin wants to keep Tiffani close and make sure she is safe but he also wants to get to know her better. These two hit it off really quickly and things go well for their relationship. When Martin lets her know what he is and tells her that there are others shifters in the world, closer than she could have thought, she actually takes the news really well.

While they are trying to work on getting to know each other better, someone puts them in danger. I had a feeling I knew who the bad guy was but I was only partially right. I really liked how this ended though. Karma really gets some people in the end and that's just fine with me.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Las Vegas Weather in August

August started out pretty nice. It was hot between 100-114F but it was really sunny. This sunrise picture was taken at 5;30am. Falcor got me up early that day but I got a nice picture out of it. These mountains are East of me.

You can see the mountains even with the big clouds that way. I like the clouds because they usually mean rain. And we did get a little rain.

The mountains are really clear to see on nice days like this one. These mountains are West of me.

And then we had a lot of haze and smoke from the California wildfires. You couldn't see the mountains at all. This is taken in the same direction as the last picture but the mountains are not visible at all.

The sun was even blocked out from all the smoke for a couple of days.

And then we got rain clouds again. I love these overcast, cloudy days.

It was pretty dark for a few days. We had 3 days of rain which was nice. You can see the sound wall in the background. Directly on the other side of that wall is the freeway. The wall was built to keep us safe from the speeding cars and to keep the sound from from the cars from bothering us too much. The wall is 16 feet high.

The clouds just looked so cool.

One morning it was actually a little foggy up by the mountains.

Another morning the smoke from the California wild fires blew into town again and the sun looked red in the sky as it was rising for the day.

And for anyone who doesn't know this yet, I live in Las Vegas.

Book Review: Knock Down Dragon Out by Krystal Shannon

Book Description

Winter in Mystery, Alaska just got a whole lot hotter. Dragon shifters, lions, and tigers oh my!
An overwhelming need to get away from life—from grief—sent Naomi Parker on a trek through Alaska. Even though she was expecting to photograph some unique wildlife, she was NOT expecting a dragon. They don’t exist, right? Wrong. And a dragon who turns into a human? Even more unlikely.

A hot dragon prince... yeah, she's totally hallucinating. And when he won't leave her side, and their chemistry is off the charts, suddenly, it's a whole-new-world of fantasy and excitement, until it threatens to cost her everything…including her life.

Col has one mission: to kill the dragons who murdered the royal house of Li'Vhram—his family. But he wasn’t expecting to find his mate in the process. When a cute, curvy woman needs rescuing from the dragons he’s hunting, his senses go on high alert. She’s his mate. He’s sure. And he’ll do anything to make her his.

Knock Down Dragon Out is the first book in the new Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series. It’s a full-length, standalone fantasy paranormal dragon-shifter romance story featuring a strong human female and an alpha male dragon prince from another world with a propensity for protecting and pleasuring his mate. Happily-ever-after and more guaranteed!

My Review

Col and some other shifters came through a portal from another dimension where shifters existed and they landed on Earth. Their world was destroyed by volcanoes and they barely got out alive. But not all the shifters get along and Col wants to kill the dragon shifters that killed his family back on his world.

The dragon shifters he's after don't like him anymore than he likes them and have no problem showing him that. He's in the middle of a battle with the two dragon shifters when he spots a human female in the snow and knows right away that she's his mate. He had a choice, continue fighting or leave the fight for now and take care of his mate. He chose his mate.

Naomi wakes up with amnesia but she's very much attracted to Col right away. After she realizes what he is and why he's going after the dragons, she wants to help him. I really liked how she was able to help him and it sure was great how she also was able to show him that helping some of the other shifters was a good idea. They all became their own little family which I really think they needed.

There was enough action, drama, romance and back story to really keep me entertained.

I read the second book in this series a while back and knew I had to go back and read the first book in this Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series. I'm glad that I did because this book was just as good as the other book that I read. This book was free when I got it so check and see if it still is. If you'd like to read my review for the second book, I'm Not Lion To You, just click the link.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Apartment Life #265

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.

On Tuesday I noticed some of the homeless people setting up camp at the end of the street near the chain link fence. They draped sheets and blankets over the fence and had their carts and belongings on either side of it.

I enlarged the picture so you could see it better. They stayed there for a couple of days and then they were gone. I had walked down that way when I was walking Falcor and they always kept to themselves. I've never had a problem with most of the homeless people around here.

I noticed that maintenance boarded up a broken window in the now vacant apartment where the man passed away last week. It got broke out at some point. I guess they don't want anyone breaking in.

----

I was talking with a lady from the end of the street when she was out walking her 5 small dogs. Falcor had fun with her dogs. She asked if someone else had owned Falcor before because a red headed man used to walk him. I said that was my husband. She gave me her condolences about his passing last year and then told me that she and her husband moved here from Tennessee a couple of years ago. And that 4 months after they moved here, her husband was murdered down there *She pointed towards where she lives at the end of the street* I had no idea. This was the first time I had talked to her. I don't know what happened exactly, but dang.

The high this week was 108F/42C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
