If You do The Crime..You Should Have To Do The Time

I'm a firm believer that if you do a crime no matter what the circumstances, there should be some form of punishment. And if you do a crime under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, even marijuana should get even more time for being a dumbass. You had a choice to drink and take drugs. You had a choice as to whether you were going to get so stinking drunk that you lost control of yourself and ended up committing a crime and now feel bad about's not an excuse.

If you 'think' you have a mental illness and plan on using that as an excuse's not an excuse.

Do I believe that most people deserve a second chance? Of course I do in most circumstances, but if you've already been given one and another and still make the same bad get no sympathy from me.

  1. HA! Funny story about 'doing time'. Someone I'm (embarrassed to admit) I'm related to got into a bad car accident b/c he was on drugs. He went to jail for 6 months, BUT now that he's out he's pulling disability because of the injuries he sustained in the car accident! $1200 a month, courtesy of the government, because he was an idiot. How backwards is that?!

  2. Wow, that is just nuts.

I have a family member who I no longer speak to that went and did some things he should be in jail for right now while high on pot and drunk off his ass, but for court he's claiming ptsd and a couple of other things that shouldn't be used as an excuse for what he did. There are plently of people in jail/prison right now who are mentally ill and committed crimes and still have to do their time and so should he.

  3. So very very true.
Very good post and I agree 100%

  4. I've got to agree with you here 100%.
