Recipe- Fried Cube Steaks

If you're like me you just take these cube steaks and fry them in a little oil and if you're like me, they came out tough, tough, tough... So I tried something different and it made all the difference. They are much more tender and taste really good.

Take your cube steaks and dredge them in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper. be sure to coat them really good.

Add enough oil to a frying pan so that the oil covers the whole bottom of the cube steak and the sides. Add floured cube steaks to a hot pan and cook on med/high heat just until both sides are browned. They cook really fast, about 4 minutes on each side.

Serve with whatever side you like, we had mashed potatoes and gravy that night.

  1. Quick and easy. There's nothing better for dinner :)

  2. Just had a total flashback. This recipe was a mainstay in our household growing up. :)

  3. Nice and quick, sure the way to be

  4. Shelley, you are very right.
