Antonio Sabato Jr Against Medical Cannabis in Homes With Underage Kids

I recently watched an episode of Dr. Phil where actor Antonio Sabato Jr faced off with Cannabis industry icon Cheryl Shuman. She argued in response to Sabato’s campaign to ban the growth, distribution and sale of medical marijuana in homes that have children under the age of 18.

I would actually like a law that went a step further and banned anyone who had minor children from getting a Medical Marijuana Card until the minor children were over the age of 18. It doesn't even matter if the kids don't live with the parents full time because parents have weekend visitation at times when couples have split up or divorced and kids should never be exposed to marijuana.

It looks as though pot is here to stay but the laws governing it need to play catch up so that kids, pets, and people who don't want to be exposed to drugs, aren't.

  1. interesting take that most people probably haven;t thought of. Thanks.

  2. If some parents weren't such idiots, but that they are, so yeah they shouldn't be allowed.

  3. Really do hope the laws catch up quickly with this. Good for him saying what he thought even if it goes against the grain of mainstream 'media'

  4. I didn't see the episode, but I am curious if he had a personal reason to be so opposed to the idea.
    Did he mention anything?
I would love to see a study about the consequences of kids that grow up in homes with alcohol/drug addiction. (more specifically how many grow up to abuse alcohol/drugs themselves)

And on a side note: Antonio Sabato Jr is a good looking man. LOL

  5. Steph- Thanks for coming by.

Pat- The pot head parents are too stoned to care obviously.

    Ann- Me too.

CaroleDee- Yes, he said that he and his young daughter's mother are separated and the mother grows pot in her home around their child and he didn't think it was right that she could do that.
