Review: L'Oreal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer and Eye Cream
A couple of weeks ago I received a free full size jar of L'Oreal Age Perfect Rosy Tone Moisturizer and Eye Cream to try from Influenster and give my thoughts on. I've been using it everyday under my makeup for the past couple of weeks.
On the L'Oreal website it says this about the moisturizer, "Renew and Revive a Blushed Rosy Tone From Within. Skin Feels Smoother, Looks Rejuvenated. Skin is Hydrated and Has a Healthy Blush.
As skin matures, its ability to renew surface cells slows down. As a result, skin's natural pink tone is hidden and complexion becomes dull, losing its natural rosy tone of youth. Age Perfect Cell Renewal* Rosy Tone Moisturizer is a universally-flattering daily moisturizing cream enhanced with rosy pigments to instantly revive skin’s rosy tone. This tinted moisturizer for mature skin is powerfully formulated with Imperial Peony Extracts and LHA to gently exfoliate dull, sallow skin and stimulate surface cell renewal every day to revive skin’s natural rosy tone. The Result: smooth & renewed skin with a healthy and rosy complexion, immediately and over time.
*Based on skin surface cell turnover"
Now I will say that my face does look a little pinker but my skin is a little red anyways. My skin does feel smoother and softer though. I will say that for sure. It hasn't broke my skin out or irritated it in any way and it didn't adversely effect my makeup in anyway. So it's easily worn under the makeup I wear. I think this is a great moisturizer and I'll keep using it until it's gone. I don't know if I would buy these products for myself since each one will cost you $24.99, at least when I looked them up online that was the prices I found. But I will use them while I have them.
On the L'Oreal website it says this about the eye brightener cream, "Anti-aging eye brightener to visibly color correct dark circles. Best for mature, dull skin.
This anti-aging eye cream has a unique whipped texture that instantly blurs to help visibly correct dark circles. Formulated with Imperial Peony, it reduces the look of dark circles, visibly brightens skin around the eye area and provides an overall healthier, younger looking complexion. Immediately eye area looks smoother, brighter, more awake. Dark circles appear diminished. Paraben Free. Mineral Oil Free. Non-Sticky. Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested for safety. Suitable for sensitive skin."
I really like the eye cream. It disappears into the skin really fast and leaves almost a powder like finish which really helps when adding foundation, concealer and powder on top of it. My makeup even looked better I think when I used this. I like the pink tone it gave my face even when I wasn't wearing makeup. I really didn't see it help with the dark circles though. Did it make my skin softer though? Yes it did. I think it's a great moisturizer for under the eyes and it has a really pleasant scent to both of them.
So while I didn't see either of them changing anything about my skin, they are good moisturizers and leave my skin feeling soft and they smell good.

I'm glad you liked it for the most part, and that it made your skin softer. I agree, this is one of those things I'd need a coupon for when buying.(lol)Thanks for the review! Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteI think most face creams, toners, serums are the same when it comes to their claims. I haven't found one that actually gets rid of fine lines, gets rid of under eye bags, dark spots, or firms skin. They make your face fee soft for the most part and that's it. lol
Deletelooks awesome!

Thank you.
DeleteI received a sample of this last year. I liked it fine, but the color was off putting to me.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a strange color and does make your face a little pink.
DeleteGood to know Mary bc my skin is sensitive too. Nice review
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteIt's a lot of money but it depends if it works great and how long it last. It might be worth it.
ReplyDeleteEach person will have different results I think.
DeleteBummer about the dark circles under the eye part. That's what I was curious about when I started reading your thoughts since that's where my skin could use some help.
ReplyDeleteWhew yeah, I can't do those prices either. :)
I have bags and dark spots and this didn't touch either of those things.
DeleteI have no idea what this means
ReplyDeleteLOL I wouldn't expect you to.
DeleteAt least you can enjoy it for a while!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's definitely a plus.
DeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeletein response to your comment on my blog:
First, let me just say that clarify that when I say "obese" I mean REALLY OVERWEIGHT. And you cannot tell me that an obese person is healthy. Obesity is a disease and it kills more people than car crashes! It is really a problem! And, unlike a car crash you can avoid being obese. You can make something about it. Exerceise more, eat healthier. And if you tell me that you choose to be obese, for me what you are tell me is that you are giving up on life. You are laying down on the train tracks waiting for the train to hit hit you. And do you think that this is the attitude of a happy person? Because I sure don't. I believe that it is much easier to accept that you are obese and there's nothing to do about it rather than changing your life style. This is my opinion, don't take me wrong.

I really don't think there was any reason to come to my blog to reply since you could have just replied on the comment I made on your blog. But whatever.
DeleteLike I said before, you cannot tell by someone's weight if they are healthy or not. Really overweight? Like what? 400 lbs? There are large size models who are tall and weight 400lbs who work out, see a doctor and are healthy. Just because a person is obese doesn't mean they have given up on life and are waiting to die. But I can see from that comment that you are biased in your thoughts on fat people and there's really no reason to keep this conversation going. You are entitled to your opinion, I just don't agree with it.
even if it doesn't change a lot it looks good
ReplyDeleteIt was good.
DeleteI got a freebie last week and it made me think of you! I do grocery pickup through Walmart, because sometimes I don't want to shop with all three kids, haha. Last Sunday, Mother's Day, they had a little bag for everyone. It was fun!

That's awesome!
DeleteWell at least there are a few perks.
ReplyDeleteYeah it smells good and leaves my skin soft.
DeleteToo bad it doesn't brighten the dark circles. I have yet to find a good cream for that though. Does sound pleasant even if it didn't have a huge noticeable difference.
ReplyDeleteIt is pleasant and is a good moisturizer.
DeleteI have that and although it smells amazing, I don't think it made much of a difference. I didn't notice any rosy tone to my skin. It's kind of pricey too.
ReplyDeleteYeah exactly. I noticed that because it's tinted it turns my skin a pinkish color.
DeleteI do not easy anything but I really should
ReplyDeleteIt's a good moisturizer.
DeleteToo bad it didn't help with the dark circles but that's great it smelled good!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely smells good.
DeleteThese sound like great products. I was curious about the rosy color. Sounds like good products to buy when I have coupons. :)
ReplyDelete~Jess
