Easy Cheese
I didn't have a post written for today and was going to leave it a no post day. But then while on social media, I was reading one of those posts about, "Products in the US that people in other places around the world don't know." and one of those things was this, which I had in my cabinet. I guess I didn't realize that people outside of the US might not know what this was unless they too have seen those posts about it that I was reading.
This is Easy Cheese. It's cheese in a can that you squeeze out and put on crackers. Yes, you read that right.
When you pop that top off, there's a nozzle that you press side ways and the cheese comes squirting out.
I put some on some crackers so you can see what I mean. You're welcome. lol
Most people that I know, love this stuff. Heck, back when I had rats, they loved this stuff too. I'm sure my dog would too if he didn't have a crazy sensitive stomach.
So have you had this? Heard of it? If this is your first time seeing it, what do you think? Would you try it?

ReplyDeleteNever seen in my corner of the woods. I'd rather my cheese actually looked like cheese (plus I prefer hard cheese anyway), so I don't think this would be my thing LOL. But I guess it comes in handy for tarts.
ReplyDeleteSee I knew there would be a couple of people who had never seen this. It's pretty good but you don't know unless you try it.
DeleteI have heard of it - but only in your country. I have never seen it here, and it doesn't tempt me either.
ReplyDeleteI knew there would be some readers who have never had it. So many over here love this stuff but it is weird.
DeleteYeah, I might try it someday but I'm good with all other, different kinds of cheese that are available and in my fridge already 😜
ReplyDeletelol Understandable. It's fun to see what others think of it though.
DeleteWe do not have it, but American cheese is generally very unusual and does not really look like real cheese LOL It is unnaturally yellow for some reason and mostly processed.
ReplyDeleteLOL I've heard others say the same thing about our cheese.
DeleteOf course I remember it. I was only allowed to get it when I had slumber parties as a kid and when I had kids I always let them get it for parties and holidays. I wasn't even sure if they still made it. It is definitely not in my pantry lol!
ReplyDeleteYep, kids love this stuff. I get it as the occasional treat.
DeleteI think I tried it in the 70’s!
ReplyDeleteThat's when I first had it too.
DeleteAh, the Cheese Whiz, yep, had it, not for a long time now and you kinda have me Craving some now... at Six in the Morning... gee, Thanks Mary! *LOL* I can't recall, does it need refrigeration after you open it? I think so... I don't think my Grandchild has ever had it, it's been that long since I've had it in the house, but we're Cheese fanatics here. When we traveled Abroad it was interesting what they had that I'd never heard of or seen... and what we had in America that they'd never heard of or seen.
ReplyDeleteIt's doesn't need refrigeration. You can keep it in the cupboard after opening it. It is interesting to read everyone's impression if they've never seen it before. I hope you get some now. lol
DeleteLOL, I loved this stuff with Wheat Thins crackers when I was studying for finals back in the day, but I confess it never tasted like cheese. :)
ReplyDeleteI imagine this does look odd if you come across it as an adult and it's from another country.
I agree, it doesn't really taste like cheese but it's great on crackers. That's why I posted this, I wanted to see what people from other countries think of it and if people here in the US still use it.
DeleteEasy cheese is great on crackers! :)
ReplyDeleteYes it is.
DeleteDang, I hadn't seen that in a long, long time. Yep, it's darn good on crackers!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is.
DeleteI never heard of this before, we don't have anything similar here. We do have things like mayonnaise or even other spreads for on crackers or just slices of cheese. This doesn't really sound appetizing to me as I am not a big fan of cheese. But it sure seems convenient, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt is convenient. I know a lot of people here like it.
DeleteI never heard of it but my wife has. We have some food like ham and cheese flavor spread that comes in a tooth paste like tube. We call it food in a tube. There are other kinds but I can't recall them.
ReplyDeleteFood in a tube. Now that's fun.
DeleteOnly in America haha!!
ReplyDeleteSure seems that way. lol
DeleteI used to eat this shit on just about everything. My wife to this day says it's a wonder my heart didn't give out years ago.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny.
DeleteI haven't had it in years, but I do love it. I've been know to squirt it directly into my mouth. Mostly, I ate it on Wheat Thins or Club crackers.
ReplyDeleteMelanie @ Books of My Heart
My rats used to love a little squirt of it too. lol
DeleteI watch a few YouTube channels where people from other countries eat American foods, and sometimes strange foods from other countries and this is one foods I think they've had all of them try because they had never had it before. 🧀
ReplyDeleteYes, I've seen those too. It always cracks me up when they really don't like it.
