Favorite Song of the Week
From Ashes To New is a new band for me but when I heard heartache, I added this song to my playlist. I like the rock sound with a little bit of rap added to the song. I remember the first time I heard a song that had this combination of rap and rock to it was a Linkin Park song and I loved them. I hope you like this song as much as I do.

A truly interesting mix. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNo problem.
DeleteI actually heard that one before and liked it but I didn't have any idea who did it.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad I found one you like.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI'm back from my vacation and you (and Falcor) are my first stop, dear friend! I didn't want to miss your song pick of the week. I'm pleasantly surprised to learn about and listen to the band called From Ashes To New. Yessum, they have a retro sound like Linkin Park and similar bands that were hot 20 years ago. I love their style, and I'm delighted to tell you (in case you didn't know) that Matt Brandyberry and his FA2N band are from my old stomping ground - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where I lived and worked for many years. As you recall, you recently posted a song by the band called "Live" which is based in my hometown, York, PA, just across the river from Lancaster. Then there's Lzzy Hale and her band Halestorm who are from Red Lion, PA, which is just down the road from York. Central PA is rockin' in the 2020s!
Thanks again for posting this great song, dear friend Mary. I'll be back over tomorrow to catch your State of the Neighborhood address. :)
I'm glad you liked it it's a new one for me but it sounded pretty good.
