Product Review: OliaDesign Black Cat Coffee Mug
Product Description
Mug is ceramic with photo quality design. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Bulk packed for free standing display. Makes a great office coffee mug, birthday gift, Christmas gift. Inspired by the hit TV series Downton Abbey and the now famous Highclere Castle used in the show.
My Review
This black cat coffee mug is bigger than I thought it would be and so cute. This mug hold a lot of coffee or hot chocolate and I like that. It's the biggest mug I own. It's not small like those little coffee mugs you are served in cafe's and restaurants. This mug is sturdy and doesn't crack easily. I found that out when I was hand washing it and I accidentally dropped it in a sink full of water and it didn't chip, crack, or break. I think this would make a great gift for anyone who is a cat lover, anyone who likes decorative mugs or anyone who likes to collect mugs that are unique.

With its stylish design and beneficial functionality, the Essential Oil Diffuser is the perfect companion to your home, office or any other living space.
My Review
I had a bottle of lavender essential oil and I really love the scent but its hard to get the scent to spread through my entire apartment or even an entire room. But I've seen these essential oil diffusers and I've been wanting one so I'm glad I went ahead and got this one because it works so well.
I had a bottle of lavender essential oil and I really love the scent but its hard to get the scent to spread through my entire apartment or even an entire room. But I've seen these essential oil diffusers and I've been wanting one so I'm glad I went ahead and got this one because it works so well.
You just fill with tap water, add a few drops of essential oil, plug it in and turn it on. It starts working right away and the mist that it creates is so fine that nothing gets wet around it. I was kinda worried about that but it's a really fine mist so that isn't a problem at all.
When I pressed the button and turned it on, I saw this beautiful blue light. I really like it but I also like the fact that I can turn the light off and keep the diffuser on. In the future I would also like to see a different model with different lights to choose from or with it alternating different light colors. I think this is great for a bedroom because of the light, it makes a great night lite. But I have been using this in the living room where most of the cooking odors accumulate during the day and it really works. I went outside to walk the dog and when I came back in I could really smell the lavender scent from the essential oil.
This diffuser is really quiet too. Unless I turn everything off, I can't hear this at all and even then it's just a slight noise of the water. I'm extremely happy with this and will be looking into getting another one for the bedroom.
I really like the blue light and I like that I can turn the light off and keep the diffuser on. I only have to add 4-5 drops of essential oil to this and it really puts out the scent. I've been wanting to try an oil diffuser for a while so when I saw that Amazing Deals Group had one for just $6.95, I jumped on it, especially when the asking price on Amazon at the time was $44.95.
If you'd like to buy one of these for yourself, you can find it here.

Summer With Snuggle Bear
*I'm just giving him a kiss. I'm not trying to tear him apart, I swear."
So The Snuggle Bear Den site sent some of us a free mini Snuggle Bear to take fun summer pictures with and since I don't go out much, my pictures included fun times with my animals.
Falcor looking a little defeated that he can't have the bear.
Scribbles faced off the bear and then went about his business.
"Hey can you scratch my back? No? Ok, I'll just get it myself."
"I don't see you."
"You aren't gonna give me that bear, are you?"
And then Snuggle Bear decided to dress up early for Christmas. It's Christmas in August!
And of course he saw some of the sites here in Las Vegas.

Product Review: Easy Gift Durable Stainless Steel Home Gadgets Strawberry Huller
Product Description
Remove strawberry stems with ease with the strawberry stem remover.
It's easy to use. simply insert into strawberry, twist and remove the strawberry stem. It removes the stem and leaves the strawberry intact! It's great for making strawberry shortcake and fruit salads.
And, with the Small and exquisite design design, it's easy to find in the drawer.
My Review
I've started eating healthier about 6 months ago when I found out I had diabetes. So fruits and vegetables became a large part of my life. I never really thought about how much of the strawberry I was wasting when I cut the tops off of them but I really was throwing away some tasty bits and now I don't have to. This strawberry huller makes getting the stems off of the strawberry so much easier and it works so fast. I hardly have to even work do get the stems out. Just press the plunger, stab the strawberry and let the plunger go, twist and it grabs the stem and removes it. It's so easy to use and a lot less messy than cutting the tops off of several strawberries on the counter plus I'm not wasting so much of the top of the strawberry anymore. This works great.
It says that this can be used to take the core out of tomatoes as well so I'll definitely be trying that.

Review: Hades- A Demonica Novella (1001 Dark Nights) by Larissa Ione
Book Blurb
A fallen angel with a mean streak and a mohawk, Hades has spent thousands of years serving as Jailor of the Underworld. The souls he guards are as evil as they come, but few dare to cross him. All of that changes when a sexy fallen angel infiltrates his prison and unintentionally starts a riot. It’s easy enough to quell an uprising, but for the first time, Hades is torn between delivering justice — or bestowing mercy — on the beautiful female who could be his salvation…or his undoing.
Thanks to her unwitting participation in another angel’s plot to start Armageddon, Cataclysm was kicked out of Heaven and is now a fallen angel in service of Hades’s boss, Azagoth. All she wants is to redeem herself and get back where she belongs. But when she gets trapped in Hades’s prison domain with only the cocky but irresistible Hades to help her, Cat finds that where she belongs might be in the place she least expected…
My Review
I started out reading the Lords of Deliverance series and absolutely loved it, for those of you who haven't read that series this is book 11.5 in the combines Lords of Deliverance/Demonica series. I was really happy to hear that the Demonica series would keep going on after the Lords of Deliverance series ended because I loved the characters in that series ad I am still loving it.
Hades is the jailer of the underworld and just his description of him had me wanting to see a real life Hades. His tall body and blue mohawk, not to mention how he can change the way he looks to look even ore menacing and scare the demons into answering his questions made him seem very sexy. I wouldn't have thought that the jailer of the underworld would have a soft spot but he does and we see it when he starts to get close to Cat.
Cat which is short for Cataclysm is a fallen angel who was kicked out of heaven for trusting the wrong people and making a mistake. She wants nothing more than to redeem herself, get her wings back and go back home to heaven. But this fallen angel is a mess. She breaks things, gets in trouble and while cleaning she mistakenly opens a something that she shouldn't have and instead of owning up to what she did, she tries to fix it which turns out to be the exact wrong thing to do.
She finds herself trapped with Hades and the sparks fly with these two. This might be one of my favorite books in this series. Totally worth the read.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Review: Liberty Imports Cartoon R/C Police Car Radio Control Toy for Toddlers
Product Description
Cartoon R/C Police Car
This r/c police car is bright, colorful and perfect for young children learning to play with remote control toys for the first time. It is lightning fast and can drive forward and reverse/left. Press a button and the police sirens will turn on and the headlights will blink. Comes with a cute removeable policeman figure that kids can place in the car or take out to play with. Cute and stylish, this remote control police car is a great introduction to remote control toys for young children and toddlers.
Police car measures 4" long, 3" wide, and 4" tall. Police car requires 3 AA batteries, and remote requires 2 AA batteries (NOT included). Ages 18 months and up.
My Review
I bought this for my 2 year old grandson as a Christmas gift. That's right, I start my Christmas shopping in January when all the sales start. I already have a whole closet full of goodies for him and my other family members. What little kid doesn't like remote controlled cars, right? Because there are just two buttons that will make it easy for him to drive it around. But it does seem durable and if you know 2 year old boys, that's something you really need in a toy. This makes a great gift for the toddlers in your life. You do need 5 AA batteries for this to work *not included* But that's about average for toys that need batteries these days.
I took it out of the package and tried it out. The siren is pretty loud so I'm kinda glad my daughter will be taking this home. Kids toys today make a lot of noise. I think come Christmas when he's almost 3 years old, this will be easy for him to figure out and play with.
If you'd like to buy one of these, you can do so here.

Review: Death's Servant by C.J. Ellison
Book Blurb
Jonathan Winchester has clashed with his alpha one too many times. After another argument he leaves the Manitoba pack, his only home since the werewolf attack that changed his life. He returns to his home state of Virginia to start a new life free of pack politics. Jon finds work and meets a young waitress, Raine, who appears to be a lone werewolf, too.
As their relationship progresses, Jon’s embroiled in more intrigue than he bargained for and a danger bigger than he can handle. He's running scared until his own alpha tendencies surface, making him unable to leave the pretty werewolf’s problems behind. The young man is desperate to save Raine—even if his efforts may lead him straight to death.
Journey along in this first prequel novel involving the favorite characters from the bestselling V V Inn series. Written at reader demand, this stand-alone story explains how the beloved Jonathan came to serve the deadly redheaded vampire, Dria.
Warning: This book contains one sex scene and graphic violence and is not intended for readers under 17.
Coming mid-April, 2015: A V V Inn “between the books” novella, titled Sharpen the Blade — free only to newsletter subscribers. Four parts will be posted on cjellisson.com from April to July, then available for purchase at retailers in July.

My Review
This is a quick read, just 159 pages but it's packed with a lot of information, action and a great story.
Jonathan has a big argument with his alpha and then finds his girlfriend in bed with another guy so he takes off on his own. He finds a job and a waitress who acts like she likes him but then warms him to leave town. So he does what any alpha werewolf would do...he follows her to find out where she's going.
What he finds boils his blood and turns his stomach. He's captured and then escapes and has to find someone to help him and that's when he finds Dria and Rafe. Dria is reluctant to help him but he makes her an offer that she can't refuse but Jonathan finds out that Dria is a lot more than she seems and when she arrives to save the hostages...a bloodbath ensues.
This is a fast paced, action filled story and a prequel to the V V Inn books. So if you haven't read the books this is a great place to start but if you have read the books and liked them, you'll want to read this as well.
I've only read one other book in this series, which was Death Times Two and you can find my review over on I Smell Sheep where I was a guest reviewer for them.
The V V Inn, in reading order:
Death's Servant, First prequel novel
Vampire Vacation, Book 1

Sharpen the Blade, Book 6 (a "between the books" novel, coming July 2015)

Happy Release Day Mistral Dawn and Intrigue In The Summer Court
My friend Mistral Dawn has a new book out today and if you've read the others, then I know you're as excited to read this one as I am. I'm happy to have Mistral Dawn on my blog today so I'll let her tell you about her new book.
Guess what??? The wait is over!!!!! :-) Intrigue In The Summer Court is now out and available from Amazon and Smashwords!!!!! :-) Check it out, and please let me know what you think!! :-)
Description:
Jillian knows something bad is going to happen! She has been a loyal adviser to the throne and friend of the queen, Briallen, for thousands of years, and now Roni and Uaine's wedding and coronation are to take place in just a couple days. The Summer Court will have a new king and queen, who, it is hoped, can repair the damage and heal the schism the late king created.
But Jillian can't shake the feeling that trouble is brewing. Many of the Summer nobles aren't happy about the changes that are taking place in the Summer Court, and many of the other Fae just aren't too sure about having a human on the throne...even if she has been blessed by the goddess. When Angelica, the leader of the Pixies, comes to her with news of a plot to murder the prince and princess, Jillian's suspicions are confirmed. Will the two of them be able to unravel this conspiracy in time to save the royal couple? Or will prejudice prevail, and the hope for peace in Fairie be lost forever?
And if you missed the first two books, get them here so you can read the series in order! :-)
Want a sneak peek of Intrigue In The Summer Court? Here you go! :-)
Chapter One
Jillian had a bad feeling. The Sidhe's gaze flitted from one Fae to the next, her eyes combing through the crowd assembled in the throne room of the Summer Court. Searching desperately for some clue as to the source of the threat. For days she had stood quietly behind the queen, as Briallen welcomed the dignitaries who had traveled from all over Fairie to witness the wedding and coronation of Roni and Uaine. It wasn't every day that new rulers assumed control of one of the Season Courts.
Once the young people were properly crowned, they would ascend to the throne of the Summer Court, and Briallen would step down. Never had Briallen looked more regal than she did now, as she fought through her grief to represent the Summer Court during this time of change. Jillian's heart broke for her queen, even as her trepidation built.
What Jillian found maddening was that she couldn't identify the source of her unease. Ever since her encounter with the goddess, her instincts seemed to have been heightened. At times, it seemed as though she could tell what would happen before it came to pass. She was still learning how to use this new ability, but she knew that ignoring a gift from the goddess was never wise. Right now, every instinct in her was screaming that something was wrong.
Taking a deep breath, Jillian reached into the bag that hung over her shoulder to pet the easy-going rabbit who waited inside. The feel of Patches' soft fur under her hand calmed her, as it always did. Her sweet bunny friend, sensing her disquiet, nuzzled her fingers in an attempt to reassure her. Unfortunately, despite Patches' best efforts, Jillian's feeling of foreboding persisted without abatement.
She continued to seek any hint as to what direction the peril might strike from by observing the crowd. Jillian noted that the Erlking and his Anamchara, Cassie, had finally arrived. The presence of Fairie's Huntsman gave her some comfort. A Fae would have to be bold indeed, and foolhardy, to instigate trouble in the presence of the goddess's own enforcer. Still, Jillian couldn't escape a feeling of dread.
Her attention was caught as Ankou, the king of the Winter Court, approached Briallen and nodded to the queen. Jillian marveled at how strong the king looked, despite all of his loss. A weaker Fae would have long since decided to allow themselves to fade, but Ankou appeared as solid and powerful as ever. The thought of his long eons of existence gave even Jillian, who had lived for tens of thousands of years, pause. As she observed the large male moving through the throng of Fae around the throne, her heart ached over the mantle of sorrow that surrounded him.
Shaking herself from her reverie, Jillian tried to focus on the nebulous feeling at the back of her mind and identify just what was causing it. With so many gathered to celebrate Roni and Uaine's union, a premonition of danger couldn't be dismissed. She shook her head; it was no good. Any Fae with enough status to be invited to such an important event would have long since learned to control their reactions. Perhaps if she withdrew and sought some quiet for meditation, then clarity would follow.
Just as Jillian turned away to find the desired solitude, she was approached by Angelica. As the head of the largest of the Pixie villages, the tiny Fae was, by default, the representative of the Pixies. "Greetings Jillian, you look pensive," said the tiny Fae as she hovered in front of Jillian's face on wings beating as fast as a humming bird's.
"Angelica, welcome," Jillian nodded to the winged female. "I hope the Pixies are pleased with the new trade agreements."
Angelica gave her a predatory smile. "Oh, they'll do for now. But what could be causing you to look so serious on such a happy occasion?"
"Do I look serious?" hedged Jillian. She made a mental note to control her face better, now was not the time to show weakness to outsiders.
"Oh, I think you know you do," the Pixie gave her a sharp look, "and I think I know why, as well."
Jillian just raised an eyebrow and looked at Angelica. The delicate Fae's tiny face betrayed nothing.
"Do you think it is only the High-Court Fae who are capable of smelling trouble in the air?" Angelica gave the Sidhe a bitter look. "We lesser-Fae have noses as sharp as yours, my lady," she added, the honorific thrown in ironically.
Jillian's second eyebrow joined the first, just below her hairline. "I never suggested that you don't, and the only one calling you 'lesser', Angelica, is you. If you have knowledge of danger brewing, then by all means, speak up."
"Ah yes, how could I have forgotten? It is a new day, with a new regime about to rise." As the Pixie spoke, she cut a contemptuous glance towards Uaine and Roni standing near the queen. "The past is now over, and we are all one Court once again. Not all of us forget centuries of injustice so easily, Jillian."
Grimacing but acknowledging the truth in the Pixie's words, Jillian said, "Ithel's behavior was inexcusable, but he is dead and his vision for the Summer Court died with him. The goddess made her judgment known, and the wise will do their best to abide by it. The past may not be forgotten, but we cannot change what was done. All we can do is make the future better."
Sighing, Angelica crossed her arms over her chest. She looked down, and then back up and cocked her head to the side. "Perhaps. We shall see. Your prince and his mate will be under close scrutiny, I hope you know that."
"Our prince and our princess are well aware that they have much work to do to heal the Court of past hurts. Is that the trouble you spoke of?"
Flipping her lilac hair over her shoulder, the Pixie gave Jillian a sly look. "No," she floated over to settle onto the larger Fae's shoulder, "I have reason to believe that the prince and the princess may not live long enough to be king and queen," she whispered into the Sidhe's ear.
Jillian gave Angelica a sharp look out of the corner of her eye. "Why would you believe such a thing?"
"There have been whisperings. You must know that Logan and Deirdra's family is not pleased with their fate."
"That is hardly a revelation," said Jillian, thinking of how the Elf female had been killed by the spell she tried to use to murder Roni.
"No, of course not, and you don't truly believe they will not retaliate, do you?"
Jillian fought to conceal how startled she was by the thought. "The goddess herself has bestowed her protection on the princess, and her blessing on the royal wedding. Are Logan and Deirdra's relatives foolish enough to challenge the goddess?"
Angelica snorted. "Not directly, of course, that would be suicide. But you know perfectly well there are always loopholes in any magic. All they need do is find one."
"Do you have specific knowledge of any such plots, or is this mere speculation?"
The Pixie gave Jillian a smug look, as she lifted off of the Sidhe's shoulder to once again hover before the larger Fae's eyes. "Why don't we go somewhere more private to discuss the matter?"
Jillian gave the Pixie a searching look and then nodded. "If you'll follow me...?"

Product Review: Accurate Finger Pulse Oximeter
Product Description
The newly upgraded Acc U Rate® CMS 500DL Generation 2 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter can now read SpO2 up to 100%! Designed for sports enthusiasts, pilots or anyone who wants to obtain their SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation Levels) and PR (Pulse Rate) on the go, the measurement now faces instead away from the user. We have also upgraded many internal components of the pulse oximeter.
My Review
I bought this because my family is prone to getting really sick when we get a cold. Several times my husband and daughter have ended up getting pneumonia after catching a cold and the first thing the doctors do when you go in with breathing problems is put one of these things on your finger to check your oxygen levels. So I thought this would be something important to have around.
It's incredibly easy to use, you just put it on your finger and press the power button. After about 5 seconds it shows you what your oxygen level is and what your pulse is.
It comes with a lanyard that you can attach to it and wear around your neck or hang somewhere. This would also make a great gift for sports enthusiasts who want to measure their blood oxygen levels or for new CNA's (Certified nursing assistants) or anyone in the medical field who you know would want something like this.
If you'd like to buy one for yourself, you can find it here.

Review: Vexed by Wren Michaels
Book Blurb
Vodou stole her life. A gay ghost stole her boots. And the man who stole her heart stole her memories. Kena plans to get it all back.
Ex-cop Kena's life is filled with regret, beer, and Cheetos. That is, until her ghostly roomie sends her dumpster diving, leading her to a sexy stranger named Luc and a fate she'd rather not remember. As Kena's memories resurface, so do her feelings for Luc, the man she's secretly been in love with for the last thousand years. And he needs her for more than a stroll down memory lane.
Vodou spirits, known as Loa, have been trapped in human form, and are trying to make their way back to the spirit world. But Luc's brother is possessed by a vengeance demon conjured at the hands of NOLA's crime syndicate kingpin. Saving him means damning herself to a spirit prison in a loveless, arranged union with the very man she's supposed to rescue. But not helping Luc's brother sentences him to death, leaving New Orleans in the hands of black magick, and losing Luc forever.
My Review
This is the first book I've read from this author but after reading this, I doubt it will be my last. We get to know Kena and her ghost pal AJ first and things turn kinda funny when she goes dumpster diving for her favorite pair of boots. That's where she meets Luc and he's all tall, handsome and just being near him makes her girly parts explode in pleasure. *Yes, she actually says that.* And now every time I bake cookies, I'll think of him. You'll understand why after you read it.
But Luc is there for serious reasons and we soon find out that there's a lot more to these two than we first thought. Turns out they are Loa and Kena has been in hiding for many years and she doesn't remember her past life but now they have to make her remember because they need her help.
The world building in this story was outstanding, we really get a sense of what's around them, what's going on and who they are and have been for many years. Kena and Luc really were wonderfully complex characters and I loved how we got glimpses of their back story through memories, it really gave us a chance to get to know them better. There's a lot going on but it was easy for me to keep up and keep all the secondary characters and their stories straight.
I really love it when I find a new author and love the book and I definitely loved this book. It was so much fun.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
If you'd like to buy this book, you can find it here.

Product Review: Bob's Red Mill Cornbread Mix
Bob's Red Mill was nice enough to send me two coupons so that I could try two of their products for free and this was one of them.
Several of my friends are on gluten free diets so I like to find products that are gluten free and taste good to try out and let them know about them. This mix is simple to make. You just mix the right amount with milk, butter and egg and bake it. I usually make my own cornbread because I like it a little sweeter than most people do but I have to say that this was really good. I think the next batch I make I'll add a little sugar to it so that it's the sweetness that I like but hubby found this to be really good, he called it the traditional taste of cornbread, which I guess most people like. Me, I like it sweeter.
I would definitely get this mix again to have on hand if I wanted to make a cornbread real fast. It was pretty good.

Flower- My Hairless Rat
Flower is now 28 months old and since rats usually live 2-3 years, I spend as much time with her and Scribbles as I can. She's in really good health and is still very active. She never sits still and loves to come out and play. So I thought I would share some of my favorite pictures of her. This one was take a week ago when I opened the door to her cage and she walked down the ramp and onto my computer table to run over and give me kisses and then run back into her cage. She is too funny.
I was cleaning the potty corner of her cage one morning and had put the plastic bag down outside her cage and she reached her little paw out trying to grab it. lol
Flower trying out her new hammock. She loved it.
Doesn't she look inquisitive?
Oh and she likes whip cream and pumpkin pie. lol I let her have a bite and this is what she looked like after she was done eating.
The lady that does the rat meme's that I post on Monday's saw this picture and made a meme of Flower's picture. She looks like she was posing for a picture. She's such a pretty girl. She is so friendly, she loves to give kisses and come out to play and she love to jump in my shirt and hide.

My Review
First thing I noticed when I got the box this pillow came in was that it felt heavier than other pillows I've ordered. After opening the box, cutting the plastic off and taking a look at the pillow, I noticed that the pillow was expanding right before my eyes. It turned out to be a fairly thick pillow.
I am a side sleeper and I fold one side of my pillow over and under so that my head sits higher on that side. So my pillows don't last because they get misshapen and lumpy when I try to sleep on my back it's uncomfortable. But this pillow is wonderful because it's not going to mold into a weird shape. I can fold it over, squish it into the shape I want and after getting up, it goes right back into its original shape.
I'm also going through peri menopause and I have night sweats and hot flashes *TMI?* but with the cool flow bamboo cover the pillow seems to stay a little bit cooler than a traditional pillow has. I've never had a shredded memory foam pillow before so this was a new experience for me but I'm so glad that I have this pillow now.

Welcome to another edition of Freebie Friday, where I tell you what free samples and full sized products I received in the mail and how you can get them too. Someone asked me why I do a 'Freebie Friday" each week, so I'll tell you.
A while back I listed all the free samples and wins that I had received that previous year and so many people didn't believe that I could have gotten so many free things. So I decided to prove it by taking a picture every week and sharing the sites that I found the links to the freebies at. So now you too can get great free samples coming to your mailbox each week.
You can find links to samples like these at Hey It's Free and Freebie Shark.

My Review
When my daughter was little I always had things like this to keep her bath toys from ending up all over the bathroom floor. Now that my daughter is grown and has a two year old son, I love getting her things like this for my grandson. Bath toy organizers are a must, at least to me and this mesh bag is perfect for holding some light weight bath toys and letting them air dry up out of the way. I have flat walls in my bathroom around my tub and so does my daughter so I placed the suction cups on the wall to see if they would stick and they do. This works really well. I also think this would make a great gift for new mom's and for kids so they have somewhere to store their bath toys.
