Alien Attraction by Cara Bristol
Book Description
How insane is it to marry an alien as a publicity stunt?
I’m Sunny Weathers. You probably recognize me from my reality show, Sunny Weathers’ Excellent Adventures. I’ve had to perform a lot of crazy stunts in my career, but this one takes the cake! The producers are sending me to another planet to become an alien’s mail order bride. I’m not allowed to tell anybody it’s a gimmick, and as soon my contract is up, I’ll be leaving planet Dakon. Unfortunately, I hadn’t counted on my attraction to Mr. Tall, “Darq,” and Handsome…
I’m Darq. The moment I laid eyes on the female with pretty mud-colored hair and a sunny smile, I knew she was mine. Competition for females is fierce, and I was determined to claim a mate from the latest shipment from Earth, so I broke the rules. If anyone finds out, my own brother would banish me to the icy wilderness, and I’d lose my mate. I will do anything to keep her…
Alien Attraction is a stand-alone read in the Alien Mate series.
My Review
Sunny has a reality show and the producers want her to marry an alien for a year and when the year is up, let the alien know and leave. There will be tiny robotic cameras that no one knows are there recording the year on another planet. She turned it down until she found out that her nephew's new robotic heart would cost almost two million dollars and she was being offered a bonus two million to do this stunt. So what choice did she have.
Once on Dakon she and Darq actually hit it off so much that Sunny feels bad for lying to him and she pushes her feeling down as long as she can. The little robotic cameras keep making her mad by getting in her face and making themselves known. Darq breaks one of them and throws it in the fire at one point. Sunny and Darq are such a sweet couple together.
When the truth comes out that Darq wasn't supposed to get a mate this time, the male that should have picked a mate is mad and puts Sunny in danger. But I loved the ending and how Sunny decided what to do with her life. I love this series and it always makes me laugh. I am really looking forward to more of this series.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
