Low Carb Recipe: Creamy Brussel Sprouts

Creamy Brussel Sprouts

I made this as a side dish to see if I liked it and it came out so good.

You will need:

10 Brussel Sprouts
1/4 cup heavy cream
4 TBSP Cream Cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 TBSP Olive oil
1/4 cup vegetable broth

What To Do:

Clean the brussel sprouts. Cut off small any leaves that look wilted. Cut the brussel sprouts in half and add to a pan, cut side down with the oil. Cook over medium heat until browned on the cut side. Add vegetable broth to pan with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add lid and let cook for 5 minutes or until broth is evaporated. Add cream cheese and stir until melted, add heavy cream and let cook for 3 more minutes.

I've made this a few times and one time added 2 diced up pieces of bacon to the finished product and that was really good. I made this as a small side dish for myself. If making for more than one person, you can double this recipe.

  1. With that amount of sprouts and cheese looks like a perfect recipe for a daily fartfest lol
I do love me sprouts, but cannot eat them, sadly, as they don't suit my stomach.

  2. My mother told me I could not be a vegetarian because I don't like sprouts. She was wrong - but I still don't like them (perhaps because she cooked them to a grey mush).

    1. My mom boiled all her vegetables until they were a soggy mess. No wonder I didn't like vegetables when I was a kid.

  4. I can only stand brussel sprouts if they are roasted to a char.

  9. I've been needing to take my brussel sprouts to a new level because roasting just isn't cutting it for us anymore. This looks like the cure we need! Yum!
