Favorite Picture of the Week

The clouds put out a drizzle of rain but not enough for me to bring along my umbrella.

We had a few cloudy days and we even got a little bit of rain. The sun was hitting the top of this white cloud just right for it to be lit up bright white.

The sunrises this week were so nice. The clouds made it look extra nice. And it was cooler. This was a few minutes after I took the last picture. The sun was trying to peek out from behind the clouds.

The next day more clouds and more rain off in the distance.

A few minutes later from the last picture as we were walking home.

That night the rain clouds moved in and I spotted this small shaft of sunlight beaming down from the clouds. It rained for all of 5 minutes.

  2. That last picture is amazing with that sunbeam. I have to say I'm jealous of your 5 minutes of rain. After all the rain we had this spring and early summer we have dried up something awful. I do hope your temperatures are getting better. Ours are back to hot summer.

  3. I am constantly amazed that your clouds don't seem to give you much rain. They look so full!

  11. It’s quite hilarious here in Indonesia when a man carries an umbrella during the day, it’s sometimes considered a “girl’s thing” that should only be used by women. But in reality, the use of umbrellas is part of our common culture. Whether it’s a light drizzle or heavy rain, it’s perfectly acceptable for both men and women to use an umbrella as protection from getting wet. Different Pond, Different Fish

    1. How interesting. If it's raining both men and women should be using an umbrella.

  16. Five minutes of rain is five minutes more than we’ve gotten in the last Three or so weeks, which is not normal for us I like the coloration on all of your cloud pictures. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  19. Beautiful. I love gloomy skies like this. I would probably not like living there because I long for cloudy, rainy days. Some day I'll move to Ireland where it rains more than the sun shines LOL
