Review: DegustaBox- May

DegustaBox is a monthly subscription box filled with food and drink products. The price for the box is $19.99 a month.

You do not get to pick any of the products you get, it's a surprise each month. But they say each box contains 10-15 items and each box is worth at least $30. I like trying boxes like this because they usually contain products that I've never tried or haven't seen before.

In this month's box was...

Mulino Blanco Shortbread cookies
Mutti Chopped tomatoes
Mulino Blanco Breadsticks
Pure Growth Organic Apples and Cinnamon oatmeal
Barilla Pasta
Barilla Pesto sauce
La Tortilla Factory Corn and wheat tortillas
Village Harvest Rice and Lentils
Goya Lentil and Vegetable soup
Soy Vay Asian BBQ sauce
Dandies Vanilla marshmallows

That's quite a lot in a box for $19.99 and most of this stuff I hadn't tried before. I keep finding things in these boxes that I wasn't sure I would like but end up being so darn good, like the Lentils. I've been wanting to try them because my friend posted a recipe and they sounded so good. The Lentil Vegetable soup was quite good. I'll definitely be trying more lentils.

Now here's a treat for you. If this box looks like something you'd like, you can use code MARYK-ACB and get your first box half off. That's a big box of food for only $10! and you can cancel anytime. So if you're interested, go to the DegustaBox site and sign up and don't forget to use my code to get your first box for just $10.

Have you tried anything new recently?

  1. If I didn't have so many things I coudln't eat (vegetarian) I would get me something like that. My wife eats almost anything but she often lets food go to spoil after forgettinga bout it.

    1. Whatever I don't want and Ken doesn't want, I usually give to my daughter.

  2. The only thing I've tried in that box is the Barilla pasta. I was at Trader Joes yesterday and bought some chocolate mint tea bags. I know, I'm really stretching myself .....LOL

    1. lol It's nice to have a box be delivered that has food in it that I've never had before. Easier than going to the store and trying to pick out a few new things to try.

  4. I've not heard of this box, but it sounds interesting. A few weeks ago, I tried a Scottish Gourmet box and I wasn't very impressed because they only added half the ingredients for the recipes.

  11. Great variety there, Mary. I could see us trying all that. It's been a while since I cooked with lentils so that caught my eye.

  13. I love that you do this! I make cards, does that count? It is about the only really crafty thing that I do. I use to scrapbook but when I started taking digital photos that sort of went by the wayside.
