Review: BirchBox- September

I decided to sign up for a Birchbox subscription box. It's only $10 a month and this month's box came with 5 products.

In this box was...

amika Un.Done Texture Spray
R+Co DEATH VALLEY Dry Shampoo
M·A·C Cosmetics In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara
Daily Concepts Your Facial Micro Scrubber
Lord & Berry Glow Strobing Pencil - Travel-Size

The texture spray is like a strong hold hair spray if you ask me. Works well even though I don't use it much. And I received another dry shampoo much to my dismay. I now have 5 bottles of dry shampoo from all these beauty boxes. But I will say that I really like this one because when I tried it out it didn't leave any weird white powder in my hair. If I do end up using a dry shampoo it will be this one. The mascara came in a tube but it actually works well and I like the brush.

Now if you've never heard of a strobing pencil, because I know I never had, here is what the website said about it.

"Lighten up your look by casting a radiant glow with the help of this versatile strobing pencil. Its precise tip allows for targeted, foolproof application so you can highlight the positives (read: cheekbones, cupid's bone, bridge of your nose, brow bone, corners of your eyes) while the creamy formula blends seamlessly into skin, thanks to vitamin C and E. It's also buildable so you can go from a subtle radiance to a high-voltage glow with just a few strokes."

I might try using it in the corners of my eyes and see how that looks.

The face scrubber cloth is my favorite thing from this months box though. It's soft but makes it really easy to use the facial cleansers to clean my face.

Does this subscription box look like something you'd try?

  3. I finally signed up for an ipsy box and was thinking really hard about doing one of these as well. Do you like them overall do you think or is there another one that is better out there that you would recommend?

    1. I'm liking this box but I would recommend the Walmart and Target beauty boxes as well.

  6. Glad you enjoyed this. It isn't something that I would ever use. I don't wear makeup and my skin doesn't like most products. I would be scared to try new things, now that I found stuff that my skin likes.

  7. I'm loving BoxyCharm so much! It has full sized makeup items, though is $21/month instead of $10 like Birchbox or Ipsy.
