Apartment Life #70

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.

Last week the apartment right next to me got a 3 day eviction notice after having a 30 day notice and not fighting it in court. The Constable came and locked them out on Friday. They came back with a U-Haul that weekend and got all their stuff. These people are meth users. I know this because they told anyone who would listen about their problem. The male half was the old apartment manager's son and the female was his girlfriend. She also had 4 kids living with her part time. The male left after his mom left (she had medical issues and couldn't do the job any longer) and then the female's brother moved in with her and they didn't pay the rent. So they got evicted. #buhbye

This week a neighbor across from me who sells drugs from his apartment got a 30 day eviction notice on his door and has been loudly complaining to everyone that he's done nothing to get kicked out. The manager told him that he'd been warned about his loud music, people coming to his apartment all hours of the day and night and having up to 10 homeless and/or drug users staying in his apartment all the time and having fights all the time. He was demanding to know who complained about him and the manager said she couldn't give him that information.

The manager is actually doing what she said she would do and is getting rid of all the trouble makers that all seem to be in my courtyard. He was warned several times so he only has himself to blame for being evicted. I don't feel bad for him at all. #Goodriddance

Besides that drama, there's nothing else to report this week. It was pretty quiet around here for once. If all the drama causers get evicted, I'll have nothing to report here each week! lol I think I can live with that though.

Cross your fingers that the new people that move in are not crazy.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  3. Jeez that sounds like a hellish place to live. Hopefully she'll weed out the troublemakers and it will be a lot better!

  4. It looks there is law and order after all, and trouble makers are evicted. We've got worse places than that, and law works very very slowly or not at all.

  8. I would rather miss this post than you have so much crap going on at your apartments. May the manager keep doing what she's doing.

  9. I bet the police doing surveillance in your area has something to do with your landlord finally getting rid of someone. Good riddance for sure! As for me, it's been quiet here too. The only thing buzzing around in our building is one guy who works for the apartment's counsel who is upset because he didn't get paid for two hours and insists this is what caused him to get kicked off his medical insurance.

  14. I'm glad something is finally being done about the bad tenants in your courtyard. Hopefully this new manager won't let anymore bad ones rent there. It will definitely be safer.

  16. I'm impressed that this new manager is actually putting the effort in. Fingers crossed the new people to move in are more socially responsible! Though if everything gets too nice there, I'd miss your Apartment Hell posts ;-)

  19. Wouldn't it be kind of scary to be a manager who has to boot people out? People are so crazy and so willing to do horrible things to others. I sure hope your neighborhood continues to get cleaned up, though.
