Apartment Life #115

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.

This week the police were at the other end of my street at 6am. I was walking Falcor and spotted the police down the street. I don't know what went on down there but they had that whole end of the street blocked off for 2 hours.

If you follow me on FB or Twitter you might have seen this picture I posted on Wednesday. This girl was walking in my courtyard and finally went to someone's apartment. It's 57F here, not at all the weather for booty shorts and whatever else she was wearing. But quite a few men came outside to look while she was walking around. That's some getup though.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. I think the reason your rent went up is that the city imposed a special tax on your building to help support the police, since they have to go there so often.

The woman in that second picture looks like a salesperson. Who was just showing off what she had for sale. If you get my drift.

    1. That's what some of my FB friends said about that woman too. The tax is a funny thought though.

  2. Now that is an outfit which should be kept behind closed doors.
Last night we had two fire engines and an ambulance come into the street. I thought of you. No police though, and I have no idea what happened.

    1. It really shouldn't have been seen outside. It's interesting to see the cars out and not have any idea what they're there for.

  3. I'd never walk around in public looking like that! It should have a public health warning!!!

  4. Sounds like the coppers were after someone. Maybe she doesn't have any winter clothes, you think? lol

    1. Yeah I think they were looking for someone too. Yeah, no Winter clothes. That could be it.

  5. Never a dull moment in your apartment block. LOL My cousin used to wear short shorts and thigh highs like that back in high school even in winter. I used to laugh when she'd complain about being cold and I'd tease her about being a fad slave.

    1. Yeah her hair was all kinds of two colors. The apartments down there aren't bad.

  15. I'd tell you to see if it was on the news, but of COURSE it's not on the news, now is it??

Stuff happens all the time everywhere without any mention of it on the news. Drives me insane. Or, they give you a bit of the story and then NEVER SAY ANYTHING ELSE again.

  16. I hope the police were able to take care of whatever problem they were there for. When my husband and I were living in our apartment many years ago, there was a home invasion robbery in a house in the neighborhood. They thought perhaps the suspect had come into our apartment complex. Our upstairs neighbor always kept his sliding glass door leading to his balcony open a little for his cat to come and go. It was quite a sight watching a police officer shimmy up one of the balcony beams to reach the balcony and check out the apartment. It turned out the suspect wasn't anywhere near the apartments, but we were all trapped in our apartments for a couple hours while they searched the area.

At least she's got high socks on to protect her from the cold...

    1. Oh that sucks. We have the police around my neighborhood at least once a week if not more. But something similar happened to my daughter a couple of months ago. Some guy broke in her apartment through her second story balcony and she called the police and they caught him in her apartment.

  17. I can't believe how often the police end up visiting your apartment complex! It must almost be more economical to actually station a couple of them there all the time?

  18. Booty shorts haha funny. People wouldn't be caught dead in shorts in Minnesota this time of year.

  19. Umm yeah... I can take an educated guess as to why she would be parading around Vegas like that. Never a dull moment.

  20. I hope your place gets cleaned up a bit, if you have to pay more in rent. Have a great week.
