Apartment Life #192

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.

Hey, the picture isn't as blurry as usual. lol

So as you can see the Fire Truck was parked right outside my bedroom window at 4am on Tuesday. I saw the flashing lights and got up to take a picture.

I found out Wednesday morning that a couple across the street got into an argument because I guess the female found out that her boyfriend had cheated on her and she went after the boyfriend with a knife and ended up cutting his arm. I guess after I went back to bed (Because I was tired) the ambulance also showed up and took him to the hospital to get stitches in his arm. She was arrested but she's already back and they're back together like nothing happened.

Some of my street was blocked off on Friday after workers across the street poured a bunch of rock in the street. It's the same kind of rock that is in my courtyard. They started shoveling rock into the courtyard over there where grass would normally be but this is Las Vegas, we don't do grass here, it's the desert and we fill in the yards with rock. LOL They already had rock over there but there's a lot of kids in those apartments and I imagine they displace the rock by throwing it at each other, the street, the cars, the windows. I wish I was kidding. Hell, a couple of years ago Ken got into an argument with a guy from over there and he picked up a couple of rocks and winged them at Ken. Ken picked up a couple of our rocks on this side and threw them right back so the guy walked over to our side and tossed his drink in Ken's face. Wheee so much fun.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. You have to wonder about a relationship where cuts that require stitches don't have any impact at all...

  2. This is how things escalate-do nothing about the domestic violence and it becomes a murder in the future. Crazy stuff!

    1. I know. It makes no sense to stay together.

  5. I'm amazed at those women who stay with a guy despite domestic violence, cheating and all sorts. But I know that psychologically it can be very hard to walk out on someone.

  6. Never fun to have a drink thrown in your face. It happened to me once at a haunted house and I'm sure it happens a lot after stand-up comedy bits. People get aggressive-its real.

  15. Some people just can't stay away from each other and even thrive off the drama. Sounds like your neighbors across the street fall into this category. Bummer about them tearing out the grass for rocks. Doesn't sound like that was a good move.

  21. It's so common that these couples stay together and it must be frustrating to those who have to constantly intervene.
