Apartment Life #204

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.

The police showed up a couple of times this week but I only got a couple of pictures because I didn't have my camera with me when I went outside with the dog and saw them on the street. They were in my courtyard but I don't know why.

Then on Thursday we spotted a police officer at the apartment that always plays their music stupid loud.

He had paperwork with his that he was showing the guy that lives there and then I got a picture of him as he as walking away. I actually think this guy was a constable because his uniform was different than the police that I usually see so I don't know why he was over there talking to the guy. It sure didn't stop him from playing his music crazy loud a little while later.

Life Update:

I want to thank everyone who donated to our fundraiser for a car and/or taxi money last Sunday for Ken's doctor appointments. The links and info are still there if anyone else wants to help out. We are really surprised and overwhelmed with everyone's generosity.

This week Ken had a bunch of tests and next week he is having a PET scan to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else. And then he's having a chest port put in for chemo.

But here's an interesting picture for you.

Ken's doctor ordered a chest X-Ray to rule out pneumonia and the technician came right here to the apartment to do it.

How cool is that? Good news, he doesn't have pneumonia but he does have COPD.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. Much better to have the X Ray to come to Ken than Ken having to trek to the X Ray! Please pass on all my best wishes to him.

  3. That is real good that they are bringing out the x-ray equipment. Those are things you don't think about...They may need to cut the noise in our complex as well. Last night someone was screaming, "help me, the window!"

  10. I don't know why the police don't have someone permanently stationed at your apartment complex considering how often they are there!

How cool that they sent a portable x-ray machine! I'm glad Ken doesn't have pneumonia but COPD isn't fun, my grandmother had that. :(

I hope you manage to get to target on your fundraiser.

  11. That is neat they could send someone to your house to do the X-ray and luckily he doesn't have pneumonia, too bad he does have COPD :(. I am glad to hear your fundraiser is doing well so far and I hope you can collect a good amount of money to help with the transportation.

  15. I'm amazed they brought all that x-ray stuff out to your apartment! I didn't know that was possible.
My OH has COPD and has to take a strong daily inhaler to manage the symptoms.

  16. Traveling x ray... wow. What's next?
I am sad to say I've become one of those people who uses the phone instead of a camera most of the time now. And I have a really good camera. :::sigh:: But the phone takes decent photos, and it is usually handy (and charged up).
Stay safe out there, lots of crazies in your neighborhood, apparently.

    1. Thank you so much for donating. We haven't met our goal yet but we do have enough for him to take a taxi back and forth to the doctors appointments if nothing else.

  28. That's wonderful that they came to you for the xrays. With his illness, he certainly doesn't need to be out and about more than necessary with this virus still floating around. Continued thoughts for you both!

  29. Loud music from the neighbours was often a problem when we lived in London flats. We tried all sorts of tactics to stop it, but usually without success. People addicted to loud music don't stop in a hurry.

Sorry to hear about the COPD. That's no joke. But good news about the mobile X ray.
