Apartment Life #225

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.

At 12am on Tuesday night our power went out. My daughter looked outside and saw that only a few apartments were without power so she walked over to the breaker boxes on the alley side of the buildings and sure enough, someone had turned the breakers off to a few apartments. So she flipped the breakers back up and some of the older residents asked her to flip their breakers on since they physically couldn't do it. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

On Monday morning I was walking Falcor and spotted the police across the street. No one was arrested and they left soon after they got there so I don't know what that was about.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. That's a whole new level of annoyance. But at least you didn't get shots or stuff like that 🙄.

    1. No gunshots but having some knucklehead turn our power off was annoying enough.

  2. That's rather unnerving someone has access to your breaker box.

    1. All the breaker boxes are just on the alley side of the buildings. They aren't even locked. Anyone can flip the breakers.

  5. Perhaps it was done with the purpose of stealing electricity. They steal water too.
People should regularly check water and elecricity watches.

  21. I can't believe just anyone can turn off your power. I wouldn't like that at all. Many movies start that way and they don't end happily.
