Apartment Life #231

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 22 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 22 years here in a weekly blog post.

On Thursday night my daughter and I heard the police helicopter over our apartment complex and as we were headed outside to see what was going on, we heard sirens pulling up on our street. As we got outside, we saw 6 police cars pulling up on our street. The video shows the police walking around across the street looking for someone.

There were a lot of police cars on my street that night. Some of the police got out and were running around across the street but I didn't see them arrest anyone. I police helicopter left but the police stayed for about an hour before they left.

The police cars were even at the end of my street and when I walked down that way with the dog they seemed to be looking around the apartment complex across the street for someone. I don't know if they ever found the person they were looking for.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. That would freak me out.
I am glad that the 'looking' seemed to be all the drama for the night though.

  5. Wow! Helicopters and everything! My son likes to call them 'choppers' like the Austrians. So funny!Hope they got them. We live close by a small private airport, so we get a lot of noise polution.

    1. As long as you stay out of their way they leave you alone for the most part.

  7. I'm waiting for a week where you don't have a police update 😂. For real...how do you manage to feel safe there? I hope they'll let you have a peaceful Christmas at least.

    1. I have posted a week or two like that. It doesn't happen often though.

  8. Lately we've had tons of helicopters around our area. Sadly not to long ago we had a murder very close to us so that was most likely why.

  14. I've had helicopters circling before. It's a little disconcerting, not knowing if your in danger over who they're chasing. Glad it all went away!

  17. I once had 'my' kids out on the playground when a helicopter started circling around and around. A police care drove up and the officer told me to, "Please take the children indoors, we will contact you when it's safe for you to come back out."
I still have no idea what happened.

  20. Police helicopters are quite common here. Lots of undesirables drag race on streets not too far from us and they run on foot to hide in the park one street over.

    1. I believe it. The helicopter has a good chance of finding the people.

  21. Six police cars? That sounds like overkill, unless they were looking for a gang of serial killers!

  22. Well that would freak me out! Although the police helicopter is a novel experience. I normally have army chinooks flying overhead any they're noisy.
