Apartment Life #242

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 22 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 23 years here in a weekly blog post.

I forgot to tell you last week that the liquor store next door to me is open again and the owner is out of jail. I don't know if he made bail or what but he's back in business. lol

----

I was out with Falcor at 7am on Tuesday and watched as a police car pulled out of the alley for the apartment complex across the street and then watched as this police car disappeared down the street. I figured they were just patrolling after last week. But I was wrong.

A few minutes later I saw this police officer walk from the alley to the front of the building and as police cars were driving up the street he was pointing around the corner where the alley is and they started driving in there. In all I watched 3 police cars go to the alley and park. I don't know what they were doing or if it had anything to do with last week but they were there for about an hour.

All the while this officer stood out front directing police cars to the alley when they came and talking on his phone. I didn't see any of the police in the courtyard across the street or going into the apartments over there so they must have stayed in the alley. Maybe they were searching someone's car. I don't know.

While I was walking Falcor I spotted this sign where the people sit and do their drugs. I think these boxes are transformers or electrical boxes. To the left of the picture is the path that I walk Falcor on next to the sound wall.

I enlarged the sign so you can see it better. It says, "Clean up yalls trash!! You dirty lil ass goblins."

I probably laughed way too hard at this.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. A quiet week, considering...and I doubt that sign will do much except eliciting laughter from passers-by LOL.

  10. Doesn't surprise me that the liquor store owner was in jail. When I pick up most Bar owners, they usually got a rap sheet a mile long.

  11. So, Falcor is your faithful accomplice to your picture taking of the Police and its suspects in your area. Good dog!

  17. We have state own liquor store and I would guess if the employees got arrested I would guess they would be fired.
Coffee is on and stay safe

    1. Yeah, but it was the owner that got arrested and was the one dealing the drugs out of it. Can't fire the owner. lol

  18. It would be a good band name, don't you think?
    "Dirty Lil Ass Goblins"

    Or on a t shirt.
Guess it could be shortened to just
    Ass Goblin

  22. You Americans really do like your booze, we don't even have liquor stores here LOL maybe only some vine shops but even those are rare. But we don't really have money for liquor, in my country a lot of families make their own brandy, our famous slivovitz (plum brandy). It's stronger than vodka and whisky :)

  24. I am not surprised the liquor store is open again. I bet the owner is back to selling drugs again too. What a great sign! LOL We visited the neighborhood park the other day and noticed there were homeless people camping out in one of the little league dugouts.

I hope you have a good week. Take care!

  28. Little ass goblins.. ahahaha okay this is great 😂😂

We live in a dead-end in the far end of the city, so nothing much is happening here (thanksfully!) but we’ve seen some odd things at work in my café/gas station.
One dude actually got arrested while he was gasing 🙊🤔 actually no idea why either- they just came, handcuffed him and took him away; the police also notified the casher next door not to worry that they’d come pick the car up within an hour or two.
The gas station also had been ran into by a car - she wanted to reverse but drove forward instead.. the wall had a big crack and everything flew off the fridges & shelves 😳 that was something — and apparently is the second time it happened, first was in the gas station’s bathroom. So the ground lifted and the toilet had been teared out.

Love hearing wierd stories like that!
