Apartment Life #364
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 26 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 26 years here in a weekly blog post.
I heard the police helicopter up flying right over my apartment complex so I had to go outside and see what was up.
The police were all over the street.
Some right across the street and another one farther down the street.
The police had a homeless woman in the pool courtyard of my complex and were going through her bags and had her handcuffed. But later on I saw her outside so she wasn't arrested. I have no idea why there were so many cops and the police helicopter for just that or if they were looking for someone else too. I didn't see them bother anyone else.
---
A couple of weeks ago this older woman was walking these two large dogs (a pitbull and an Australian Shepherd) They saw Falcor and me come around the corner and they pulled her off her feet. She landed in the street and let go of one of the leashes. The Australian Shepherd came running over and I was able to pick Falcor up before he did anything. She still had a hold of the pitbull but the dog was trying to get to us, barking and growling. I pulled out my tazer just in case. But I didn't have to use it. I told her she shouldn't be walking both dogs at the same time if she can't control them. But the very next day here she is walking both dogs again. You can't fix stupid, I guess. And that very same day I saw her dogs go after another little dog and she was pulled into the street again and almost fell down...again.
---
You might remember Jessica, the Mayor of tunnel town in my neighborhood. Well her reign might be over. I saw a homeless man putting these signs up all over and snagged one before the homeless people took them all down. It says, "Jessica you can come clean and pay up or I'll knock on Alta's door."
Looks like there's some drama brewing down in them tunnels. LoL
Will Jessica pay up?
Will he have to knock on Alta's door?
Will Jessica keep her job as Mayor of tunnel town?
Will there be more signs put up?
Get answers to these burning questions and more on the next episode of, As The Apartment Burns.

Love that sunrise.
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely trouble brewing in tunnel town.
Thank you. Yes there sure is.
DeleteThose dogs sound dangerous. You might want to see if she walks them at a consistent time of day, so you can always take Falcor out at a different time and minimize the risk of running into them.
ReplyDeleteI watch on my camera nd she walks all different times of the day.
DeleteCan you change your route?
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe lady walking those two dogs is taking a chance, I hope no one gets hurt. The sunrise is lovely. Take care, have a great week!
I hope they don't attack anyone either.
DeleteOne day the dogs will pull her to the ground and badly injure her. Sadly, that might be what it takes.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a feeling that will happen.
DeleteI guess your neighborhood is a bit of a soap opera. I don't like one bit what you're saying about the woman with the two dogs. One of these days when she hits the pavement she's going to break an arm or a leg and both dogs are going to go running loose. I would have been carrying mace but I can see in your case carrying a taser is a smarter idea. Our high temperature was 45 and are low was 28. Supposed to be a little better today have rain on Monday and then turn cold again. No palm trees could live up here.
ReplyDeleteMy tazer has scared dogs away just by the noise because it's really loud. Thnkfully I haven't had to taze a dog yet.
DeleteI think I would observe from indoors when there are so many police around. Can't wait to hear what's next in the Jessica saga.
ReplyDeleteSometimes they tell us to go back inside but if they don't I go outside to get pictures.
DeleteGreat sunrise! I’m glad you translated the note for us. I didn’t know Alta was a name. The dog situation scares me.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea who Alta is. lol
DeleteQuite right that she shouldn't be walking two dogs together if she can't control them. But some people simply won't respond to a bit of common sense.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to end badly one of these days I think.
DeleteNo, you can't fix stupid, but that dog situation would scare me. I have a feeling it won't end well for someone not the dog walker. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI am thinking the same thing.
DeleteIt's sad that stupid is so rampant these days. That lady with the two dogs sounds like she needs some training on how to handle them. And I'm on the edge of my seat about what will happen with Jessica in the tunnels. ;D Your post totally made me laugh. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI doubt she would take any advice on her dogs. I'm glad it made you laugh. Tunnel Town is heating up with the drama.
DeleteScary near dog attack.
ReplyDeleteYes it was.
DeleteJessica .... You in danger girl.
ReplyDeletelmao
DeleteJessica is in trouble
ReplyDeleteShe might be. lol
DeleteHope the dog situation doesn't get any worse. I wonder how hot it can get down in those tunnels.
ReplyDeleteI bet it's hot down there.
DeleteYep, life is a soap opera!
ReplyDeleteLife around here sure is.
DeleteI wonder what's next in the Jessica saga?
ReplyDeleteThat sunrise looks beautiful.
All the best Jan
Who knows, anything is possible.
DeleteOh my...never a dull moment. The women and the uncontrollable dogs would scare me.
ReplyDeleteI try to stay away from her.
DeleteTunnel Town could be the new hit reality series!
ReplyDeletelmao
DeleteUh oh, written signs. That's always bad. I don't know about some dog people. They think they've got it handled, and then one day...
ReplyDeleteExactly, she definitely doesn't have it handled.
DeleteYes, that lady needs to keep control of her dogs. Sounds like she could easily be injured or her dogs could injure others. Can't fix stupid is so right!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise! I look forward to another episode of As the Apartment Burns, lol!
lol She is going to fall and hurt herself one of these days.
DeleteInteresting about the homeless people, I bet they have some fights.
ReplyDeletePeople should be able to control their dogs, and mostly they do down here.
Take care.
Oh they do have some fights around here. I see it a lot
DeleteI do not miss loose dogs or dogs who are not controlled by their owners at all (when Frodo was alive). Frodo was wiggly and barking in my arms and wanted to rip them apart...not sure who would win. I am glad you and F were okay!!
ReplyDeleteMy dog is small but barks a lot.
DeleteOMG... I started laughing so hard at your closing! I even heard it in that Soap Opera voice when I read it. That's awesome. I hope you find out more and can keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteJonathan move out yet?
LOL I'm glad you got a laugh out of it.
DeleteNo, he said he's not moving now.
I am invested in the tunnel drama now
ReplyDeleteI;m sure there will be more.
DeleteWow! I sure understand apartment building drama. Yep, got where I live also. Our building is for age 55+ only ... but you'd think toddlers and high schoolers lived here the way they act sometimes! And now I will be watching for more of this weekly series of yours. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThere are quite a few older people where I live and they do act like toddlers. lol
DeleteThat's a beautiful sunrise! I'm invested in this Jessica story now! LOL
ReplyDeletelol I will try to find out more. Thank you.
