Saturday Vittles
My daughter and I are trying to eat healthier so I thought I would share some of the foods we are eating.
Fruit Popsicles
You will need:
A blender
fruit
popsicle molds
2 TBSP Zero Calorie 7-Up
I found the popsicle molds on Amazon years ago. I've been making these every Summer for years.
What to do:
2 packages of strawberries made 8 popsicles. Wash and trim each strawberry. I cut them in half for easier blending. Add the Zero calorie 7-UP to the blender and pulse until it's blended very well. The 7UP adds a bit of sweetness without adding any calories. Some of these strawberries were very tart so they needed a bit of sweetness.
Add the strawberry mixture to the popsicle molds and stick in the freezer for 3 hours.
Each popsicle is 25 calories and 6 carbs.

DeleteThey look good.
ReplyDeleteThey come out really good.
DeleteIt's only been a high of 95 up here, cooler than you but the humidity is off the charts. I need to make and eat a few of these healthy cold treats.
ReplyDeleteI hate humidity.
DeleteStrawberries and 7Up - tasty combination.
ReplyDeleteIt's really good.
DeleteWhile I won’t be making popsicles, this is a good reminder that strawberry season has come to our region. There is a stand around the corner. I should avail myself soon.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
DeleteYum! so nice on a hot day too, I bet!
ReplyDeleteOh absolutely.
DeleteThose look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI make smoothies with the following:
Bananas
Greek yogurt
Almond milk
Almond butter
Any other fruit
That sounds really good.
DeleteI like popsicles too! I just buy them though. :)
ReplyDeleteI can understand that. When I found out how easy they are to make, I started making them.
DeleteI love popsicles
ReplyDeleteI do too.

You're welcome.
DeleteI remember popsicle molds. Makes it real easy to make your own.
ReplyDeleteThey really do.
DeleteThis is great to beat the heat.
ReplyDeleteIt really is.
DeleteMolds are always such a good investment and fun too. I did not even eat strawberries this year, and cherries especially as they are 12 dollar for a kilo. Even melons and nectarines are crazy expensive this year.
ReplyDeleteOh dang, that's too bad. They are $4 a pint here right now.
DeleteTrata-se afinal de um gelado caseiro.
ReplyDeleteEspero que seja muito refrescante para o verão.
Abraço de amizade.
