Great news about your health improvement. Doesn't help your mental health when you go through an aggravation like this over the $200 that you were owed. Sorry that happened. I don't know what kind of tree that is that it certainly is not anything that ought to be growing in anybody's neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThat tree is dangerous! Thank you, I was very happy with my new numbers.
DeleteThe person who planted the thorn tree may have been hoping it would cull the local druggie population.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about how these programs that claim to reward you for doing something or other often find some way to weasel out of paying. There are sites like Yelp where you can review apartment buildings; if you left a review describing your experience, at least other people would know the management is either incompetent or untrustworthy. They'd probably know who wrote it, though, so you'd need to judge whether you would feel comfortable with that.
Congratulations on the health improvements. I suspect it's mostly due to the weight loss -- but that's a difficult thing to achieve.
Seeing how we have a 30 day no cause where management can evict you without cause, I don't want to leave a review of this place where they can see it.
DeleteI'm sure some of it is because of the weight loss.
That's great news on your numbers! Vitamin D - need just a bit more sun.
ReplyDeleteYou have got to get out of those apartments. Call the newspaper or local television channel about the money. They can investigate.
Sun exposure won't help because some of the medications I'm on limit my vitamin D absorption. If I could find an apartment that was as cheap as this one I would move. But I'm on a limited income and can't find something else I can afford. I can't do anything against the apartment complex because they could evict me.
DeleteGood news on the health front if not the rental front.
ReplyDeleteThank you. At least some good news this week.
DeleteIt's such a shame and so annoying that you didn't get what you were promised. It makes you want to spit.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your good health, though. You have done so well.
Thank you. At least there was some good news this week.
DeleteThat is a significant improvement on your health, Mary! Way to go! Do you feel better overall?
ReplyDeleteI’d be so mad about the referral! I swear it’s like that with anything now. And the kicker is everything is computerized, so there should be no excuses.
Yeah I feel a little better. You would think since I have the paper as proof, they wouldn't deny me.
DeleteGood news on your diabetes!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThat sucks about the referral, idiots! That's great news about your A1C, etc., hooray for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI don't know which place sucks more ... your place or mine, but to offer money for referrals then not pay is false advertising. Your new numbers are amazing. Wish I could get my cholesterol down.
ReplyDeleteI cut all oil, butter and fatty meat from my diet for a year. I think that helped.
DeleteI’m glad to hear your health is a lot better. And that sucks about your housing complex.I’ve helped quite a few people get into low income housing and anytime my housing frowns on me I think of the hood I did in getting people lower rents. It helps.
ReplyDeleteI should apply for low income housing but the wait list is so long.
DeleteWell done Mary on your excellent health news ... you must be so pleased.
ReplyDeleteHope the week ahead will be a good one for you :)
All the best Jan
I was very surprised and pleased.
DeleteCongratulations on your great health numbers. Boo to the jerks in the apartment office.
ReplyDeleteI take an over the counter Vitamin D pill every other day.
This apartment complex is a joke. My doctor ordered a prescription strength Vit D but my insurance won't pay for it so I'm taking an over the counter one too.
DeleteCongrats on the Numbers, you're doing so well! I'm trying. Sucks about the Referral Credit not being applied and them Stiffing you, they know you have proof and are likely lying that they don't have records, of coarse they do.
ReplyDeleteOh I know they do they just don't want to be bothered. Thank you.
DeleteFirst off, congratulations about your excellent health news! The referral thing sucks and stings. I wouldn't put it past them to have done this on purpose. That tree looks dangerous and not at all appropriate for a residential area...good lord.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm happy with the numbers. Yeah This apartment complex sucks.
DeleteWhat a stupid hassle. They tell you they'll give you a break on the rent for a referral, and then they make sure that they don't give you the break. Are they that stupid? Don't answer that. I know they are.
ReplyDeleteYep, they are completely stupid.
DeleteThat sucks that you didn't get the $200 off your rent!
ReplyDeleteYeah it does but at this point it doesn't surprise me at all.
DeleteEmail me. I'll go leave a review with all kinds of stuff on it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, shitty people.
Had this happen with the credit union's 'refer a friend' program, FOUR people opened an account on my recommendation and I didn't get the 50 bucks apiece promised. Still like the credit union, but I'm still pissed off, too.
The thorn tree is a hazard. Sure would be sad if one of your neighborhood crackheads lit it on fire.
LOL A fire across the street in that tree would be awesome. It's not even worth your time to write the review. This place doesn't care.
DeleteCongrats on lowering the A1C so much. Per my research you “technically” are now just prediabetic since diabetes numbers start at 6.5???
ReplyDeleteMy doctor said that if I can get my A1C down to 5.5 I won't be considered diabetic anymore.
DeleteWell done with your health achievement.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. How awful that you didn't get credit. Miserable people.
Thank you. Yes, they are.
DeleteThat's terrible that they won't give you the credit! You've done so well with adjusting your lifestyle to improve your health, Mary! Bravo! Keep up the good work and keep those recipes coming!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I've been trying.
DeleteThat is good about your health - keep up the good work on that. I bet you were thrilled.
ReplyDeleteI suppose the ambulance is close handy to a call out in your area, maybe!
That is not good re money out of pocket. I wonder if they were trying to get out of paying you!
Thank you. I was thrilled and surprised. Maybe they are keeping an ambulance so close because of all the calls here.
DeleteGreat news about your blood sugar
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI need to know what kind of tree that is. I've never seen anything like it!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about your health! Vitamin D is an issue here because in the winter we have so little sun. Keep up the good work.
I feel sick on your behalf for the sh*tty treatment you get from management. That is just ridiculous! It's $200, they can definitely afford to reimburse you.
I have no idea about the tree. Isn't that crazy though?
DeleteThank you.
Oh they could afford it they just refuse to do so.
Agreed, whoever decided to plant such a hazardous tree with its spiky thorns was either pretty dumb or having some sort of private laugh. Have you tried to have it removed?
ReplyDeleteGood news about your health.
It's on private property across the street. It's been there for years so I doubt that they would remove it.
DeleteI think the tree is a locust. Locust trees are known for their thorns, with two common types being the honey locust and black locust.
ReplyDeleteI just Googled Locust tree and it sure does look like that they planted over there. Thank you.
DeleteGreat new for the health Mary :-D Low carb diet is good for a lot. Fast too, it helps with a lot as well :-D
ReplyDeleteI am surprised about the guy parking his work truck there!
If I wasn't diabetic and get low blood sugar often, I would be able to fast. But if I don't eat something, I'll pass out from low blood sugar. At least the diet is helping.
DeleteCongrats on the health improvements!
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of BS on the referral bonus. I'd be leaving all kinds of negative reviews after that nonsense.
Thank you, yes the bonus is a lot of BS.
