Favorite Picture of the Week
It's been so cloudy and sometimes rainy here lately. I love this type of weather.
When I walked next door to get a few groceries this week it hadn't rained yet that day. But it looked like it might, you just never know. And that's not the sound wall, that's the off ramp to the freeway you see there.
It did rain a little while after I got home.
And then it got dark.
The rain came down pretty good for a while when these clouds got to us. I was in the grocery store parking lot when I took this one.
No rain this day but lots of clouds.
It's neat to see the bright blue sky behind the dark clouds.
You'd think we would get rain from these but nope.
Just lots of dark clouds, no rain.
I would love it if it stayed dark, cloudy and cooler like this most of the time.
Some low clouds.

I'd say move to the Pacific Northwest for that type of weather, but you are better off in Nevada.
ReplyDeleteI stay in Nevada because there are hardly any earthquakes, no hurricanes, no or not many tornadoes, very slight chance of snow and Winters are pretty mild.
DeleteI love the moody clouds - when we have too many days of sunshine, I love a cloudy day.
ReplyDeleteI love a cloudy day too.
DeleteVery dark and cloudy there
ReplyDeleteIt was.
DeleteSo many clouds, so little rain - most of the time.
ReplyDeleteYes.
DeleteVery foreboding clouds!
ReplyDeleteThey sure looked like it.
DeleteThose are some very dark sky photos. While you had rain and gray, we had 5 inches of snow! It is not going to melt as we are to stay bitterly cold. They say it's a Polar Vortex, I say it is the luck of living north, lol.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this year we will get some snow, we hardly ever get any.
DeleteWe get weather like that here in Florida, too. Sometimes, even lots of thunder, but no rain.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice after all the heat.
DeleteI love a moody day too.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite kind of days.
DeleteYour skies are certainly dramatic!
ReplyDeleteYes they are.
DeleteThe best were the "rain but nope" pics.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you liked them.
DeleteI am so awestruck on your clouds! They are always so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteIt looks like the perfect day to curl up with a book!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
DeleteWe sure see those types of clouds here a lot. They are neat to see though.
ReplyDeleteYes they are.
DeleteI love the clouds in N°3. Two clashing formations!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteMoody weather
ReplyDeleteIt was.
DeleteThose do look like threatening clouds. Glad to hear you did get a little rain out of them.
ReplyDeleteA little rain is better than nothing.
DeleteBeautiful photos, Mary! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome.
DeleteThank you for sharing these photographs.
ReplyDeletePleased to read you did have some rain.
All the best Jan
Thank you, I;m glad you enjoyed them.
DeleteThose first pics do have some really dark clouds. I can't get over how low and dark those middle pics of clouds are. We had dark clouds and got some snow flurries today.
ReplyDeleteFlurries would be so nice. It warmed back up today and we have clear blue skies.
DeleteThose are some very serious looking clouds!
ReplyDeleteThey did look serious.
DeleteWow, those dark clouds look ominous.
ReplyDeleteThey did and we did get a little needed rain out of them.
DeleteI love the dark, moody looking clouds!
ReplyDeleteI do too.
DeleteThose are some impressive and moody clouds.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteRainy days are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteMine too.
DeleteMirroring the grayness of what is below LOL
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteWhen we get clouds like that, it usually means rain and lots of it. :)
ReplyDeleteWe get a lot of clouds and no rain.
DeleteI agree. I wish it was always cloudy and grey out. Those are cozy days.
ReplyDeleteMakes me miss the American southwest
