Falcor

Some of you may not know that along with rats I also have a dog named Falcor. *Yes named after Falcor in The Never Ending Story* We got him last year when he was 6 months old. We rescued him from a lady who no longer wanted him/couldn't handle him and had kept him in the dog run in the apartment all the time.

He's finally settled down a bit, he's still a bit hyper and he still cowers if we get loud and I think he used to get yelled at a lot and maybe even hit by the way he acts. But he's so much more at ease with us now than he was when we first got him. And he's definitely daddy's boy. Always wants to be next to Ken.

He was always trying to lay on the dirty laundry over in the corner and even started pulling out dirty socks to lay on. lol He's a small dog, only about 10 lbs and is a Chihuahua/Jack Russel Terrier mix.

So Ken gave him a dirty pair of sweat pants and a dirty shirt he could have to lay on in his bed. lol I think he approves.

He's a silly mutt but I'm glad we've got him.

  1. He's a cutie. I'm glad he's settling in to his new forever home. We adopted our dog too. She was dumped with her brothers and sisters and was the only one that survived in the litter. Also a Jack Russell cross. They're such great company and give so much unconditional love.

    1. Thank you. That's awful that your little pup was dumped like that and he was the only survivor. I just don't understand people sometimes.

  5. Watch his eyes closely as he gets older. Jack Russells are prone to getting cataracts. Mine who is mostly JR got hers when she was about three

    1. Thanks. He's such a little goof. I've taught him, sit, no, and get it. If I say get it he goes and gets a toy.

  10. Your dirty laundry smells more like you and it probably comforts him while he sleeps. I love that you guys have such big hearts for your critters.
