My First Time Trying Speculoos Cookies

I was watching one of those cooking shows on tv a few months back and someone mentioned Speculoos cookies. They didn't say much except that they taste like a crispy gingerbread cookie. I love gingerbread cookies so I tried to find them. The only place I could find them was on Amazon. So I ordered a pack and they are my new favorite cookie. I'm not even kidding.

Ken hates them but I don't see how, they have such a warm spiced flavor that is a lot like a gingerbread cookie. I read online that you can get them at Trader Joe's but my local one didn't have them but I did find them on Amazon.

Have you ever tried Speculoos cookies? If you see them, I'd give them a try because dang, they're really good.

  1. I've not heard of those, but I do adore gingerbread so I'll have to hunt for them, too. Thanks, Mary!

  7. I haven't been to Trader Joes in a very long time. I don't think that I have found a cookie that I didn't like :)

    1. Oh I can totally see this being used as a base for cheesecakes. That's a great idea.

  15. I heard of them from a cooking show too, but while I love the taste of raw ginger, I'm not a fan of gingerbread cookies for some reason, (lol) but I'm glad you found a new fave to snack on. Hugs...RO

    1. That's funny because I don't like raw ginger.

  16. These are actually quite common here, I kinda like them. We even have paste made with them, like hazelnut paste, but then made of these cookies either with or without cookie pieces. And I think I even saw ice cream with them recently. And Easter eggs with speculoos cookies filling. Glad to hear you like them and could buy them on Amazon.

    1. I'm gonna have to try Biscoff cookies. You're the 4th person to tell me they are the same cookie and they are easier to find.
