Apartment Life #285

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.

I actually took some video of the police helicopter flying over my apartment complex during the day. So you can see a little more than a phantom light flying in the darkness. LOL

The police showed up as well and were driving around my street. Then they went into the alley for the apartment complex across the street but the tree's are so over grown over there that I couldn't get any pictures of the police walking around over there.

No one was arrested so I guess that's good? Not sure what or who they were looking for though.

The high this week was 53F/11C
The low this week was 26F/-3 C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. It sounds as if the police really need to have a permanent presence in your neighbourhood. I am looking at your temperatures with envy. We are hot here, and going to get hotter.

    1. They should just rent one of the vacant apartments. Preferably the one across from drug dealer's apartment.

  2. Hi, Mary!

Seems like a "sleepy week" on your block, dear friend. It must have come as a pleasant surprise not to have your slumber interrupted by the sounds of people arguing and fighting, gunfire and sirens. Since you rarely learn the specifics behind police presence in the neighborhood, it will probably remain a mystery what sort of criminal activity drew the boys and girls in blue there to comb the alley while eyes in the sky looked down at the scene.

I see your overnight temp is dropping well below freezing now, adding to the plight of the homeless.

I wish you and your little family a safe and happy week ahead, dear friend Mary!

    1. It's been cold for a while now. I don't mind though, I sure prefer it to the Summer.

  6. Seems it's a new year with business as usual over there. Over here, we've had yet another resident take a fall in her unit, cracked her skull but is recuperating.

  10. I hate it when the police can't find who they are looking for, usually I assume it's me.

  11. Sounds like a quieter week for you. The colder weather probably helped.

  12. No rest for the wicked--or the police. We've had similar temperatures here. I have been happy to see the sun out the last couple of days--but I'll be missing the rain again soon I'm sure. I hope you have a great week. Happy New Year, Mary!

  14. Wow how scary! We had a helicopter flying around the north side of our neighborhood a few weeks ago, we didn't know anything except they said stay inside and lock your door. Definitely scary.
I'll have to go back and look at the rest of these posts because this is definitely intriguing.

  15. I suppose it's good that no one got arrested---assuming no one dangerous is still around, of course!

  16. I'm not sure if it's a good/bad thing no one was arrested. I mean, I hope they weren't out to arrest someone, but if they were, I kind of hope they would have caught the person just to be safe.
