Saturday Vittles
My Daughter and I are trying to eat more healthy so I thought I would share some pictures on Saturday's of what we've made. Most pictures are from my daughter since she takes good food pics. lol
For the Chicken salad, I mixed together 1 cup of shredded chicken breast with 1 TBSP mayonnaise, 1 stalk of diced celery, and some salt and pepper. This was enough for 4 wraps.
We made Chicken Salad and added it to a low carb tortillas with some lettuce and tomato. This was really good.
The Carb Counter tortillas are just 60 calories for 2 of them and 14 grams of carbs.
For two chicken salad wraps it was 260 calories and 14 carbs.

DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI notice that you haven't been posting your Song of the Week feature every Saturday as you had been doing for so long. Not enough rock fans like me among your readership?
I'm happy to see that you and your daughter have vowed to eat healthier in 2025. Is Falcor on board with that idea? :) Those chicken salad wraps look delicious, and the calorie count for a satisfying meal is surprisingly low.
I'm back at Shady's Place with a new look and my first post of 2025, a review of a TV series I think you'd love. Let me know if you've already watched the show or if it interests you. The post also contains hard rockin' songs that are right up your alley. Be advised that I cannot post replies to comments on my blog at the present time, but nevertheless I certainly do value yours. Also, I will be back here tomorrow to find out how things went in your neighborhood as 2024 wound to a close.
Happy new year to you and my buddy Falcor, dear friend Mary!
I wasn't getting many views or comments on the music posts so I decided to try something else.

ReplyDeleteBut it looks nice with some mayo.

ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteThese look really good! Though I'm not a huge fan of raw tomatoes, so I'd probably top them with yellow bell peppers or maybe a little salsa instead. :D

ReplyDeleteI am. Maybe in a few months I'll post how much weight I've lost.
DeleteIs tomato as tasteless in your shops as it is in ours?
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your meal.
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy and healthy! I cooked up a store bought lasagna. Not so healthy. A bit short on tomato sauce!
ReplyDeleteLooks tasty! I try to watch what I eat, too so I'll keep this combo in mind!
