A Few Family Pictures

My nephew, his girlfriend and their 3 kids came over while my brother was in town. I hadn't seen my nephew for 20 years (it's complicated) and I met my great nieces and newborn great nephew for the first time.

This is my brother and I. And if you noticed I lost some weight since the last time I posted a picture of myself...yes, I've lost 80 lbs so far. I still have a ways to go though.

Me and my sister in law. She's holding my great nephew.

My nephew and grandson talking video games.

My brother came with me and Falcor for a walk so he could shine his flashlight down one of the manhole covers down to the tunnels. He said it's about 25 feet down to the bottom and the metal ladder that's there looks small. lol He said he wanted to go down in the tunnels to look around but thought better of it.

I was up early most days and got a few nice sunrise pictures.

At least we had really nice cool weather this week.

Lots of cloud cover too.

  1. Nice sunrise pictures.

Your brother was wise not to go down into the tunnels. Considering what you've got wandering around on the surface, God knows what could be down there. Morlocks, maybe.

Congratulations on the weight loss! That's damn difficult. Eighty pounds is a real accomplishment.

    1. Ha! Morlocks! Now that would be scary.
My brother isn't in the best health, he carries around oxygen so it's a good thing he didn't try scaling the ladder down there.

Thank you. It has been hard to lose that much but I'm still trying. I appreciate that.

  4. Hi, Mary!

It was a pleasure to see pictures of your family taken during their recent visit. You are looking fit as a fiddle, and I congratulate you on your weight loss journey. The natural beauty of those morning skies cannot be overstated. Enjoy the cool air while it is still available.

I'm returning with a new post at Shady's Place next Tuesday, April 1, and invite you to join the fun if you can. Until then, I wish you and my buddy Falcor a safe and happy weekend, dear friend Mary!

  6. That must have been quite an exciting visit. How lovely to see your brother and look at all those babies. Cute little children. I'm not sure I'd go down that tunnel either just because of yuck, lol. Anyone who loses 80 lb as you have is to be commended. Cannot be easy.

  15. Well done dropping 80 pounds off your weight.... just imagine, that's 40 2 pound bags of sugar, think how much room that would take in your cart if you were grocery shopping! You would need 3 or 4 carts. Congratulations!
