Apartment Life #374
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 26 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 26 years here in a weekly blog post.
Firstly, Happy Birthday to my daughter who turns 34 today!

This is also my 5100th post. That's a lot of posts.

The big crane was back across the street putting in another new AC on the roof. There are 8 apartments in each building and from what I can see there are 4 large AC's so 2 apartments share a rooftop unit.
They did it from the alley side so I only got this picture of it. I think that's 4 new AC's in the last 2 years for 3 of the different apartment buildings across the street and those things are not cheap.

While I was out walking the dog on Monday, I saw 2 police cars pull up and park real fast. This was the first one.
This was the second one that showed up really fast. They were walking so fast they almost ran into the courtyard across the street with the tan buildings. I stayed outside for a few minutes and then watched on my cameras and they were there for over an hour. Then they left. No one was arrested and no ambulances showed up so I have no idea what was going on. Maybe they were taking a report for a robbery or something.
It was hot as Hades here this week.
The high this week was 110F/43C
The low this week was 76F/24C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

It's certainly hot where you are. I don't envy you that.
ReplyDeleteIt's frustrating never knowing exactly what's happening and why, isn't it?
Good to know air conditioning is a high priority. There are still many buildings in the UK without air conditioning, even as temperatures keep rising.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your daughter, dear friend! Also, I congratulate you on your longevity as a blogger. I can't wrap my head around 5,100 posts. That's an amazing achievement!
With your high temp soaring well into the triple digits, it is imperative that air conditioning units are installed and operational. Lives depend on it. I'll bet the underground tunnels of Vegas are filling up with homeless people trying to avoid the extreme heat. Here in my neck of the woods, the mercury is forecast to reach 101 two days in a row this coming week.
If time permits, I hope you will join me at Shady's Place where I just unveiled my latest post. (Bring my buddy Falcor with you.)
Stay cool and have a wonderful week, dear friend Mary.
Happy birthday to your daughter. I hope it was lovely.
ReplyDeleteThose temperatures? Ugh. Air conditioning would be essential.
Happy birthday to your daughter! And over five thousand posts is a lot.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm worried about it being 95 everyday this week. But at least when the 95 is over it'll cool down a little. It's a good thing those apartments get new air conditioners when I need them because I imagine they run most of the year. Happy birthday to your daughter. And happy anniversary that many posts.
